Judge MacKinnon should be elevated to be a district court judge. He is what judges are supposed to be --fair, honest, firm, but kind. Great settlement judge.

Had Judge MacKinnon for a settlement conference. It lasted about 4 hours. He was perfect. Didn't have any judicial arrogance. Just rolled up his sleeves and got to work. Not condescending or impatient. He was like a businessman trying to get a deal done. A very pleasant judge to work with.
