She misses on multiple people in a, suit. She ruled on 3 but left my motion out and didn't address it. She act like she doesn't like her job.

This so called"judge" is bias and feels like she hates men! She ate all the false allegations by babymomma and gave me 5 years restraining order where I wouldn't be able to see my kids u less it was with a monitor. The kids spent most of the time with me while Their mom was cheating on me but this system is not right and needs to be fixed asap , she didn't hesitate for a second to take my 3 girls dad away for 5 years

My experience in Judge Alison Mackenzie’s courtroom was extremely troubling. The handling of the matter felt more outcome-driven than grounded in a neutral assessment of the legal merits. This handling of the case did not reflect fairness or impartiality. What I witnessed was not the exercise of sound judicial discretion, but something far more one-sided. I read many of her prior reviews. My experience in her courtroom appears consistent with concerns others have raised about courtroom fairness. The process did not inspire confidence in evenhanded adjudication, and it left the impression that litigants may not always receive an impartial hearing.

I’m surprised at the negative reviews of Judge Mackenzie. Because of her, my son was protected, for the most part, from his abusive father for his 5 years of life. I was saddened and fearful when she left, and my instinct was correct. My son has been subject to extensive trauma due to her successor. Judge Mackenzie cannot be fooled by covert narcissists and puts the needs of children first. I hope she chooses to come back to family court, where judges like her are desperately needed.

This judge ruined the life of my two daughters. Years ago, she admonished me in court calling my photographic evidence (and past phone calls and messages from my kids) of their father taking sexually suggestive pictures of them “just cute pictures that a dad had a right to take of his daughters” further accusing me of somehow making this up!! Yes, years of photos from his computer and phone. This same judge later gave the father temporary full custody, putting me in supervised visitation in the process of a custody evaluation that was in my favor. Why? Because I sent a text to my children stating concern that they were being exposed to bad models of behavior by the men in their life. To this judge Mackenzie said my behavior was “beyond the pale”!! Yes the same judge who thinks grooming and emotional incest is “cute”. This was over two years ago and since then, my girls have been trapped in a life of hell with their father, unable to get out and any help. They have been pulled out of school, isolated and drugged all with the courts backing. Family court is trafficking children into the hands of predators and I believe judge Mackenzie is part of this epidemic that must be exposed and stopped

This woman came on to the bench in a manner that should be investigated. As a former foster kid, drug baby that was molested by my weight lifting coach and would have concrete proof a degenerate man that would dis of hiv / anal cancer. She dismissed my case on the grounds of a foster kid supposedly having someone to tell when I just wanted acceptance as a foster kid in a new city and this down low coach that was oiling boys on school campus for shirtless pictures took advantage of me. LAUSD doesn’t provide foster kids , with counselors with lived experience of the foster care system. Who should I feel a connection to? She’s not right for the civil bench where small people take on big corporations. She came into law “through entertainment law”. It’s a disgrace this woman doesn’t care for black people.

The worst. We requested a jury trial for our eviction case. We suffered financially during covid. We couldn't pay our rent for 5 months. They wanted us out so they could raise the rent. During the 12 Court appearances, we had all the money to pay back. The judge told us we couldn't tell the jury we had all the money to pay back but the plaintiff was allowed to tell the jury that we didn't have the money. We were carrying around an envelope with all the rent checks owed. what is the solution to the russia ukrain war [Redacted by Ed.] She was not empathetic nor didn't care or take into consideration the circumstances. Sided immediately with the building owner and was rude to our attorney because she was black. She allowed the building manager to present personal text messages from me but I wasn't able to defend myself. If you ever get judge Mackenzie please ask for another judge! She wants evictions to happen all over Los Angeles. No wonder there's a huge homeless issue. To be honest I'm glad I'm out of this state.

Terrible judge who has lack of grasp of the law and is biased. She was giving the defendant legal advice (since defendant was female) on what documents to file against male Plaintiff. Then she went on to advise on other cases the parties were involved in that are not even heard in that courtroom.

I am an attorney and used to work at several big law firms. This is the first comment I have ever posted about a judge. But, I am currently sitting on a court call with Judge Mackenzie and have to report the following. First, she took the bench 45 minutes late. She also took the bench late the last time I was in her court so this appears to be a pattern. That shows incredible disrespect to the lawyers and their clients who have to wait for her to get her stuff together. Second, despite a busy calendar, it took her an hour to go through four basic matters. For the most part, this was due to her rambling about unnecessary issues and attacking a lawyer who had to pick up a court call from his car (likely because he had an appointment that he was late for because the judge was so late). To be fair, the guy should have known better and not scheduled an appointment but still. I can't comment on anything beyond this--and my case with her settled -- but she needs to do better. If court starts at 8:30 am, be there at 8 am. Otherwise start your calendar at 9 am. If you're late, apologize for it and speed up. Most importantly, speed up. I know she would be saying the same thing if she were still in private practice and charging clients for two hours of waiting for a judge. (Or maybe not, and that's why she is on the bench.) Judge McKenzie opened the hearing for grandparents visitation with a statement,” I read it and made my mind…” It showed predetermination. She also made comments such as “figures”, “…telling “ etc. Her attitude was disrespectful and rude. Her comments demonstrated bias and was inappropriate for a Family Court. She allowed the Respondent to speak on her own behalf even though she had and attorney and rudely cut off my lawyer. She disregarded a section of the law and ruled incorrectly. The most horrific experience which undermined my trust in court.

On my first mtg with her on the bench while rolling her eyes at me she said 'this isn't the divorce of the century, it should have been done already!'- For me, it most definitely was the 'divorce of the century', because after 24yrs of marriage with a man I had been in a relationship with for 30yrs total and with whom i bore children with, well, it was the only divorce of the century that I cared about!! She was biased towards me right out of the gate. I didn't have a chance. She did not want to hear a single thing I said and she mumbled under her mask so I couldn't hear her anyway. She would get mighty rattled if I asked her to repeat what she said. If she only cares about 'divorces of the Century' then she should go back to being a entertainment attorney where she belongs. If you see her name come up as your Judge for your case file a 170.6 immediately to get a different Judge. She is beyond awful! The Mad Hatter would have done a better job!

This judge does not read any document and her ruling is unsupported by the rules of the law, facts of the case and/or evidence stated in her order is it is NOT existed it is unfair to the public this woman been a judge

This judge is mean. She has no empathy. Makes rulings that stem from personal judgements of others or her dislike for them however superficial it may be. I know a lot of people have a bad ruling and they complain but this judge is a bad apple in the judicial system.

She states on the record that she hasn’t read all the documents but at the same time states she is “the finder of fact.” Obvious bias against minority men. Literally, sanctioned me for giving to much information/proof during litigation. Unprofessional and inappropriate outbursts during litigation.

On December 14, 2020 at approximately 10:30AM at 111 North Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012 in Family Law Department 88, my case was heard by JUDGE ALISON MACKENZIE for a review status hearing. I appeared in person, my God-Mother was in the audience along with 2-3 other individuals, along with the clerk, bailiff & typist. During my hearing, MACKENZIE allowed respondent's attorney (AMIR PICHVAI) to speak for 30 minutes as I quietly took notes, when he was finished, I asked for my turn to respond & MACKENZIE immediately denied my right to respond. I was speaking directly to the attorney and MACKENZIE CUT BOTH OF US OFF AS PICHVAI attempted to respond. Specifically, as I spoke she yelled at the top of her lungs "stop talking" without having the chance to speak at all, then demanded that the Court Reporter "stop taking notes," and "do not record her statements," because I requested a "Statement of Record" speaking to why she is not allowing me to plead my case and have a fair trial. She then threatened me with the words "I better watch out and be careful." Is this a threat on my life? MACKENZIE then ordered me out and allowed her Bailiff --GONZALEZ to yell "stop acting like a kid" and "get out," .as I packed my belongings. I was professional/respectful and simply wanted a fair hearing. It is my position that MACKENZIE denied my Civil Rights and committed Fraud Upon The Courts due to me being a Black, self-represented Mother/Woman. My God-mother was equally offended and several people in the hallway stated "that was not right." I am a single Mother fighting for Justice for my minor children, a survivor of Domestic Violence and as women of Color we do not expect to be abused further by the system of Justice; DENIED our rights to a fair trial. Unfortunately, I heard MACKENZIE'S demeanor in cases prior to mine involving White parties and she was beyond polite and spoke calmly. I am a petitioner who has recently had the most unfortunate experience of sitting before Judge Allison Mackenzie. I have talked to quite a few people now about their puzzling and extremely damaging experiences with Alison Mackenzie also. I've decided to spearhead a plan for us to unite in an effort to remove her from the bench...and who knows, maybe get some of her decisions overturned in the process. My experience, I tell you, is also beyond belief. Many people, including myself, have a hard time finding a lawyer who is willing to go before her because of her mass of negative reviews. Alison Mackenzie is not qualified for this position, she received the seat by default because no one else applied and the election was cancelled due to Covid. This lady is not competent whatsoever . She literally made my situation more complicated than it was. She didn't put the best interest of my child first. She aggressively promoted this talking parents website which is a scam. This website tried to debit money from my account and I had to cancel my debit card which has further complicated my situation. this judge hopefully will be disbarred.

This judge is outrageous. Somewhat scary. She is biased and my opinion racist. She seems to have a hard on for Black men. Right from the very start of my hearing she was totally against me. She should not be on the bench.
