He has a very, very bad temper. At trial, he raised his voice, rolled his eyes, and made sarcastic comments. He favors defendants and lets motions sit for years. He also favors male attorneys, which explains why he represented certain former clients. He does not seem to understand that it is not professional to grin in glee when the jury renders its verdict. If trials are that annoying and tedious, don't be a judge.

Judge Mehta is a phenomenal judge. He is a workhorse that works hard to make sure he gets the correct decision. Even when he does not rule in your favor, you are confident that your arguments were fully considered and the decision was the correct one. Judge Mehta is extremely bright, intellectual, yet also practical. Though I would be sorry to see him leave the District Court, Judge Mehta should be on the Supreme Court.
