Smart, but poorly tempered.

Smart, but poorly tempered. Prone to flying off the handle over minor issues with the local rules. Fails to appreciate the good faith of lawyers appearing in front of her. Takes offense easily. Sexist against men (litigants and lawyers) to the point you wonder what happened.

She has the patience of a saint, but won't take crap from anyone.

She has the patience of a saint, but won't take crap from anyone. I love the judge.

Her partisanship is obvious to all and discredits the federal judiciary.

Her partisanship is obvious to all and discredits the federal judiciary. She is an activist liberal who carried her politics with her to the bench. Judges like Berman cause the public to lose faith and trust in the judiciary. As unusual as it is for parties to seek recusal of a judge, I'm surprised she isn't the target of recusal motions in most of her assigned cases. Berman represents everything that is wrong with the judiciary and with America.

A great judge. The federal bench is lucky to have her.
