Amy Van Sickle

Horrible judge. She denies clear law and acts with her buddies to protect one another and arbitrarily applies non applicable law. She has bias towards men and dont be of color. Everything ever filed in this court is denied. She was previously the commissioner not so long ago and now this woman is insane with power thinking she is God. Nothing about the Ventura County Courthouse and her title is honorable. These people violate people's rights everyday.

Very fair judge, smart. I don't think she's actually more pro defense, she is even handed and frequently shuts me down (defense attorney) but she's probably more favorable for the defense than majority of the local judges.

She kept my daughters from me the entire time she was their minors counsel and only until she became commissioner did she leave my case. She became commissioner over night after my daughters (again) disclosed being sexually abused in front of supervisors. She disappeared from my case after that. She is a played player by the DA to perpetuate abuse. Amy Van Sickle is Satan and encourages the rape and torture of young children. My daughters were 2,4, and 6 when she began covering up their sexual abuse by a habitual predator.

Commissioner was very level headed and fair to both sides, clarified matters before making a decision but was able to see through the lies. Also, she didn’t let me get battered on the stand by the opposing party even when my Attorney didn’t say anything to stop them

RE: CA53731 This is the type of post a judge or close associate would make to deflect from legitimate criticism. Amy Van Sickle has a documented history of abuse of discretion, favoring abusers, and failing victims. Examples include a mother who was denied custody of her kids simply because she voiced concerns of sexual abuse in the home. Van Sickle plays the alienated parent game to reward abusers with everything they’ve ever wanted and more. The abuse of discretion has been ongoing since she was a CPS investigator. An absolutely awful commissioner, I do wonder how she got the position considering her reputation for being a terrible attorney.

When the "law" protects the lawless, the social contract is null and void.
