He is very demanding of counsel in advance of trial with the result - an efficient, well-run courtroom in which there are few if any surprises. As long as counsel knows and understands his rules, the experience of trying a case before him is tiring but rewarding.

Some don't like him, I do. He has always conducted himself professionally on the bench. I have had several difficult criminal cases with him and they have all been positive experiences.
