Judge Hinton refused to order child support retroactive to the date of filing the motion for child support. She also spent a lot of time bringing up the issue of a new spouse's income in a child support hearing. She clearly did not want to enter the child support order. Had to file a motion for reconsideration and pay for a court reporter to ensure that there was a clear record of the judge's bias and lack of knowledge of family law. Judge Hinton is reflective of the bias in Contra Costa courts against fathers in family court.
