Great judge, great person, and an HUGE asset to the legal community.

Judge Butchko will bend over backwards for lawyers she is " familiar" with. You will know immediately how your case will be determined since she start. She makes comments and decisions without having first hearing "all" the evidence. She is ??% bias, is NOT familiar with couples 'same sex marriages" either she doesn't like them or she is just bias. She will let you know how she feels about your case depending on who the lawyers are. Her decisions are not made based in law but rather on her personal feelings or first impressions about the case. She is extremely unfair. I requested an extension for my client who was involved in a serious accident, gave her the police report PO rt plus three doctors letters outlining my clients injuries, she denied my motion, proceeded with the trial without my client being present to defend herself and found her guilty. What a misscarriage of justice. I have reasons to believe she is fiends with defendant's attorney. She is a disgrace to the justice system, I hope Florida Governor reads this post. If you know anything about her relationship with atty. Ricardo Corona please post it here. I am saying he did anything illegal but something stinks here, this is just my opinion and I don't have any definite proof, if any one knows please HELP ME.

She is an advocate for one side and will help them win anyway she can. She is out for blood when she thinks you are wrong. It seems like she has some serious daddy issues. Should never be a judge. Probably will go down in Miami history as one of the worst judges of all time. Puts her opinion in rulings as findings of facts, even with no evidence provided to back up a biased testimony, just heresay is enough for her if she is advocating for one particular side.

Self absorbed judge living in her own world, definitely has bpd and should recuse herself from the bench or be terminated immediately.

Emotional, self-absorbed, demeaning to attorneys. The judge was multitasking throughout my hearing. Told us she had a 2000+ case caseload. Was reading emails on her phone and working on her computer while my jury trial was taking place. There’s no way her full attention was on what was taking place in the courtroom. No equanimity either.

She has served our community well. She has defended our rights to a fair and equitable election process at the Hammocks. She provided us with liberty from the previous Board and has given us the opportunity to elect a new Board.

She dismissed a civil case without giving the parties notice and opportunity to be heard. One of the worst judges I have practiced in front of in 30 years. She has a terrible judicial temperament. Is always late to her hearings. Disrespectful to lawyers who appear before her. Unprepared and does not read what is sent to her. Overall, it was a terrible experience to practice before her.
