Outstanding judge - courteous to everyone, will make an effort to make conversation with attorneys waiting in his court room, and very familiar with cases before him
Based upon my limited experience, an outstanding judge because he is bright, courteous, calm and evenhanded.
An even-handed and fair judge. A pleasure to appear before. Has an excellent rapport with jurors, lawyers, and parties. Understands the rules of evidence and has an innate sense of justice. A trial lawyer's judge.
He is nice but not the brightest star. He is very conservative and rules along party lines. He will make it very hard for the case to ever get before a jury which can be good or bad depending on who you represent.
Judge Friedman has an amiable courtroom demeanor while running a fairly tight ship. He gives counsel enough leeway to make their case. He does have a strong conservative bias that makes some of his rulings rather predictable.
I tried a case before this judge back in 2005. He treated the opposing side with class and grace; he did the same for my side. He should mentor other judges.
A fantastic judge. The best I have been before in 26 years of practice.
Nicest guy in the building. Tries hardest to be fair. Will not be bullied by any government lawyer (or other lawyers, for that matter), and always interested in the individual. Excellent judge.
