I have never in my whole career seen a judge act so disrespectful to a team of Defense attorneys during the Karen Read trials ,I have always thought that the attorneys make their objections and that the judge rules from the bench Overuled or Sustained .I have never heard a judge say to a attorney “ I’ll let him have it “ it’s not a quiz show it’s the defendants right to a fair trial that should be paramount & certainly not the judges position to coach a witness nut that is exactly what judge Beverley Canone did she ought to be ashamed of herself for protecting the real culprits in this case Thank goodness I don’t live in NC bc this is where your constitutional rights go to die !

Contrary and biased

Watching all these side bars from the Karen Read trial WOW she is a horrible judge and should be a shamed of herself. As a judge you have an oath and you truly were awful to watch. How many times did she huff/puff and want a break/lunch or just be done for the day. YOU ARE A DISGRACE AND SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE BENCH!!

There’s a lot about the legal system, and a lot about lawyers and lawyer legislators, that turns my stomach. But NOTHING has made me distrust and fear ever being at the mercy of that system as much as watching Cannone in action. I worked in a law office for a year (I’m not a lawyer, I’m a Dr), but anyone with any sense could see the obscene levels of corruption to which this judge was willing to sink, in order to influence the KR trial in hopes of destroying the life of a more and more transparently innocent woman. Every time I thought “holy crap that can’t be something she’s allowed to do” or “seriously? that can’t be right” - I would search the behavior and find out I was right, and she is as corrupt as my raised hackles were telling me. And it just keeps getting worse. Now, listening to the side bar recordings, I’m disgusted that no consequences have found their way to her yet. No sanctions? No charges? No stripping her from the bench? Unconscionable. It’s LONG overdue.

I commented on the Dishonorable Cannone previously, during the travesties of trials 1 and 2. Now that I have began to watch/listen to the released sidebars, I find myself , once again completely outraged at the conduct of Beverly Cannone. She is petty, untruthful , biased, hypocritical, and not worthy in the least of the position she holds. She did everything in her power to kneecap the Defense and stomp on the Constitution and Karen Read's civil rights. Well-respected attorneys from around the country echo these sentiments. Her actions are deplorable, and yet, she has faced no consequences. The WIDE judicial discretion that judges enjoy is dangerous in the hands of someone like this. My respect for Karen's attorneys has grown exponentially at this point. Their professionalism, skill, tenacity, and measured temperment (all while being berated, hand-tied) has been exemplary.

I have never seen anyone so biased as she is. She was rude to the defense team yet overly accommodating to the prosecutors. I lost total respect for her.

Judge Cannone should be investigated!! Her professionalism during the Karen Read trials was a COMPLETE JOKE!! She should be embarrassed for the way she ran that courtroom!!

I live in ireland I watched both trails in relation to karen read. I am not a lawyer but you do not have to be a lawyer to know and see bias . Judge beverly cannone was condensing ,rude , and totally bias to the defence team . The judges dehumanisation of karen as a person who was he'll bend on not giving her a fair trail was evident for the world to see. The judges deep breathing and hauning when witnesses were being questioned by the defence team the judge did not give the defence team an inch was totally bias agents them . She hand hand Gestures to hank Brennan rubbed the side of her face then he jumps up objection then it went to side bar . She also muttered ass hole when our lovely David Yannetti Objected then went to side bar . It was like judge Beverly cannone had already found karen guilty and did not get a fair trail .

I watched 95% of both trials for Karen Read and could not believe the blatant bias the Dis-Honorable Canone displayed in favor of the prosecution. She was rude, disrespectful toward the defence and at every turn ruled against them. The prosecution got away with antics that should be sanctioned and she permitted it while at the same time scolding the defense at every turn. The Karen Read trials were watched by people around the world. The confidence in the Massachusetts judicial system has truly suffered. The law enforcement agencies presented a picture of distrust and incompetence followed by a dishonest and bias judge. The tax payers should be outraged at the cost of this rediculous prosceution.

The worst judge I've ever seen.

There is nothing Honarable about this Judge. Very biased on the Prosecution side. If she is so Honarable why couldnt she see through the BS!! She was constantly sustaining the Defense on the truth and she showed to be all for the corrupt cops of Canton. It's obvious John O'Keefe was beaten and the Albert's & McCabe's were involved. Their interview after the verdict is nothing but lies!! This Judge showed rudeness & boredom the whole trial!! Thank God Karen Read was found not guilty but it is so sad that John O'Keefe did not get justice yet!! This Judge needs to be investigated!! Zero ratings from me!!

With all do respect as I write this review, I am a military veteran. Never in my life have I witness a judge being biased. Monday an incident within the Karen Read Trial should have been grounds for a mistrial and Debarment for a lawyer (Hank Brennan) lying and misleading a jury regarding a hole in the back of JO sweatshirt which was made my the criminalist, from always rushing the defense (mind you this is a murder trial), but the prosecution does not get rushed? The comment about “I wish I never gave you Thursday off” what does that mean? The unprofessionalism displayed not only that day but the entire case has me baffled. To be completely honest I was surprised to see this judge on THIS case again. It may not seem like a “big deal” to you but the fact that you have lawyers in here putting their two cents in says a lot.
