Appeared in front of him a lot when he was in the eviction and small claims court. In that setting, I was impressed by how he followed even novel problems. While I got the sense that his personal sympathies rested landlord and creditors, he always heard me out and gave my defense fair consideration, ruling in my favor not infrequently. A very good judge in my opinion.
