Famous for holding a grudge.

Famous for holding a grudge. Plays favorites. Told me that she "Does not believe in trials. There are better ways to do things." Be very careful when listening to her. IME, is manipulative to the point that she lacks integrity. Probably part of the LA judicial executive structure when the Pellicano/Miller Christensian affairs were being sorted out. Her case management techniques IMO have done the LA court system enormous damage (excerbating the California budget cuts). Duke law school alumni. Amiable and friendly. Genius. Very efficient. I thought that she was late to almost every hearing just to make us wait: she'd return from lunch promptly at 1:25 for a 1:30 call then make us wait until 2-2:15 (sometimes even later) before she'd call the matter for hearing.

Smart, hard working and even handed. Everything you could want in a judge. Should have been confirmed to federal bench years ago but was a victim of politics. One of the few remaining superb judges in LA.
