Carolyn K. Delaney

Fails to apply basic federal law. Acts out of emotion and thus completely lacks judicial temperament.

Very accommodating to counsel, she handled a significant civil trial well. She was familiar with the issues and had given thought to potential legal problems. She does have limited patience, so counsel are well advised to be direct and prepared. I would use her again.

Judge Delaney is a rare breed. She handled an MSC on a civil rights case. She was unbelievably human (a rare quality for judges). It was like talking with an old friend I had not seen in years. She did not have an ounce of pretentiousness to her at any point of the proceeding. If every judge was like Judge Delaney, the practice of law would be infinitely better.
