The negative comments here made me file a motion to change this judge. The motion was denied, but I am really thankful that I stayed with this judge!

This judge only gets the litigants who cannot resolve their issues on their own. Many litigants have severe issues that make them a hazard to their spouse or children.

Hon. Christina Garcia-Sen is an effective judge who takes the time to rule fairly. She is patient with unrepresented litigants who do not know the law. If you have children she will always take into consideration what is best for the children.

This judge is tough but fair. She is not favoriting towards father or the mother but she always measure who is better parent and who is telling truth and telling the lie. If you give her your honesty she will listen and then doing the right thing. If you are try to hide thing and lie then she will find it out and you will lose the child visitation. I spoke truth for everything and not perfect parent but nobody is that and it was good thing I do.

This judge can be tough on unfit parents because she always rules in the interest of the minor. Comments here are mostly from litigants who have lost custody of their child and they are angry. They usually lose custody because there are unwilling or unable to be a fit parent to their child because of addiction or mental health problems. I have worked with this judge a dozen times and she always does what is in the best interest of the child.

This judge is utterly disappointing when it comes to delivering justice, particularly for mothers. It feels like a cruel joke. They seem more interested in prolonging cases and facilitating unnecessary legal expenses, allowing lawyers to profit from parental conflicts. If you're a woman fighting for justice, be prepared for a tough battle. It's a shameful waste of taxpayer money.

As a woman, seeking justice from Judge Hon. Christine Garcia-Sen has been a terrible experience. Dealing with child custody and divorce has been exhausting. My child was assigned a lawyer who barely communicates with them but keeps billing over $20,000. So many issues were filed during the divorce, yet none seem to matter. I can’t believe this happens. If you’re representing yourself, be prepared to be bullied by the system. Delays drag on for months, and if your ex is abusive, they may still get to share custody while twisting the truth.

This judge is not honorable nor does she have good ethics in judging impartially and unbiased. I have had this judge for 4 years and she has damaged my 3 year old daughter severely and on multiple occasions she allowed respondent (mom) to emotionally harm and neglect. After exposing minor to herpes and seeking no treatment after my 3 year old suffered with severe symptoms for 5 days in moms care. Medical attention was neglected and mom committed domestic violence on me and the minor. As well as unsafe transportation of minor. Minors council has provided the courts with false information and biased recommendations. Siding with mom and not having a concern at all when my 3 year old is simulating and describing sexual acts stating mommy does that to the person that comes over. Which has changed at least 3 times in a period of 8 months. Minors council states that I am an imminent danger to child because I am the one coaching her to say these things. And I am keeping minor from mom for no reason. And Amazingly judge Garcia-Sen agrees with everything and does not mind the Best interest of minor. She yells at me and acts like if I did something wrong every time she sees me like if she personally hates me! I have seen her act out of conduct so many times. A lot in my case and several other cases I have witnessed while waiting for my case on different occasions. One case of an ex couple trying to divorce she kept talking like if there was 3 people in the case and then corrected herself because it was only the ex couple. Then she continues and talks as if there were 3 people again. [Redacted by Ed.] She is Horrible and should not be ruling in any court room!

Hon. Christina Garcia-Sen is a horrible judge who doesn't rule fairly nor does she take the time to understand complex cases. She denied my motion for filing it 2 days before the expiration date. Saying I was untimely and that I didn't give an explanation for being untimely. I filed before the expiration date. Not after and since it was still within the window, we didn't think it was necessary to provide an explanation. She overlooked so many things and she was rude and I agree with the comment below that she doesn't understand the cost or the in justice she doing to Santa Clara county residents. If you get her, request for an immediate change.

This judge is getting a bad reputation for unrepresented litigants. It has been brought up by several parties on this judge's calendar that she shows favoritism to unrepresented parties and follows whatever the attorney says by the parties who are represented. She does not follow the law for parties who do not have an attorney and takes advantage of her "power" in the family court system. Parties who do have an attorney will get whatever they ask for if the other side is not represented by an attorney. Keep your case out of her court, file to get her disqualified if you get assigned to her because if you have children, your family will suffer irreparable harm due to her biases. If you have an attorney; she will let you break the law without consequences and if you are not represented, you are automatically guilty without any evidence to support it. [redacted by Ed.]

Horrific, this judge violates families civil rights, she does not seem to understand the cost of what she is doing, causing people to lose custody of their children and costing parents money for supervised visitation even when their is no proof of domestic violence or other harm to a child by the parent, she seem to be more interested in checking her Bit Coin account instead of taking interest in the cases before her? I wonder if she even takes the time to read the files for which she rules on, she is not a good fit for Santa Clara County superior court Family division at all.
