I had the opportunity to observe Judge Hall for several hours while the Judge was handling over a dozen motions, ranging from violations of building codes, sheriff sales, civil rights, public interest and commercial matters. In some matters the parties appeared pro se. At all times with pro se parties struggling to present coherent positions, Judge Hall maintained an exceptional Judicial temperament showing patience and empathy. In cases involving parties with counsel, Judge Hall probed into legal issues and gave both sides the opportunity to present their positions. I came away impressed.
