I appeared before Judge Cavanugh for a 3 day divorce trial as an attorney. I can say she is the most proficient judge I have ever appeared before in Baltimore County. She is knowledgeable, kind, patient, empathetic and exhibits all the characteristics a competent judge should have. I actually enjoyed trying my case before her. Despite the drama and childish antics from opposing counsel, she remained even in her temperament and showed no bias to either side. As a female legal practitioner I am so proud to see her on the bench and what she represents for all women as a female judge. She is a definite asset to the Baltimore County bench.

This judge is bias toward black people who dare to go up against white people with children. She took two children from their mother on Saturday and waited until Monday after noon that full custody is granted to their father who has only been in the children's life for 1 year. This was done even after the court ordered Child Protective Service failed these two kids twice. She had in her hand the third CPS investigator report that one hundred percent included what was finally told to CPS about abuse to the child. These words came out the mouth of a four year old. She suppressed all reports and statements that was witnessed by CPS and child advocate who was also denied the ability to testify. The child even reported her abuse to two different therapist. Both were not allowed to testify because this judge denied the child the right to a privileged attorney. This young girl was made to defend herself and her children for a five day trial. The father is white and and carry's the title "Dr." in his name. Their were three visits by the father with the children, all three visits the children were returned injured. There has been no reports of abuse, or mistreatment by the mother who has done nothing but raised her kids and loved them more than anything. This judge was so cold and cruel that she sent the children with the father on Saturday and told the mother the children will be with the father until Monday, that Monday, over zoom, she told the dad to take the children to California where he lived and didn't even allow the mother to see them. The only thing this mother did was report what her four year old told her and for that, she lost custody. I have never seen a judge so corrupt in my years of living. Injuries to the children include, bruising to legs with finger prints after visiting dad. Two knots on the forehead, anal redness to the 7 month old. This woman is the devil she took my children from me and did not only give me a huge child support payment as a mother but she gave my ex arrears in a large amount she did not care that my children best interest is with their mother she has no clue about the law she made up her mind as soon as she heard about my bf criminal history she asked my ex if he wanted spousal support are u joking my child wants to be with me I have never been in trouble in my life and I have been a super mom to my kids and she not only said I was a danger to my children living with my bf that I have been with for a very long time my son calls him dad my bf has never done anything to my children but my ex abused me and my children and she believed that narcissist over me because I couldn’t afford an attorney I never knew a judge could be so bias till I read these comments I was already thinking she was how can u sleep at night my children aren’t being taken care of at all they are being neglected by their father u gave this man sole custody of my babies who bad mouths me he is a drug addict he takes our son’s medication for himself what a disgrace to a judge

I've had judge Cavanaugh a few years ago and I think she was one of the best judges to go in front of. She was very fair and reasonable and understanding. If you are remorseful and willing to take responsibility for your part, she definitely acknowledges that and will consider that before making her decision. She is also a very nice and beautiful woman

I saw many negative comments about Judge Cavanaugh and I just had a jury trial in front of her. I am a Plaintiff's attorney and I LOST. However, I found Judge Cavanaugh to have a nice warm courtroom demeanor and if you are respectful of her and the process, she was absolutely fine (and fair) as a trial judge and would have no worries appearing before her.
