A jewel of a judge. Smart, hard-working. He is a quiet, low-key guy, who treats the lawyers with respect. The only problem with his mild manner is that he is too slow to bring down the hammer on lawyers who don't cooperate in discovery or otherwise abuse the rules. If you draw him for a civil case, keep him.

Judges don't get any better than this. He is even-handed and studies both sides' arguments and does his own research to supplement the briefs. Be on time. It's rude not to be and he will let you know it in no uncertain terms. Lets you try your case but also keeps a tight reign on the proceedings. Good balance.

Extremely intelligent. Make your point early, in a well-reasoned and supported manner, because once he has reached a decision, you're done.
