David G. Campbell

It would be tough to find much better these days in the Ninth Circuit district courts (which are not in good shape).

Very fair jurist who is extremely capable. He is conservative but open-minded. He follows the law and treats everyone with respect. Be on your toes because he will ask probing questions during argument.

Appears to be a fair jurist, does not waste time and gets to the point. Be prepared in his courtroom.

Pleasant to deal with but a corporate man by instinct. Plaintiffs beware - expect unfriendly rulings on discovery, motions to dismiss, etc, and a bench trial is asking for trouble.

Defense verdict at a bench trial, Judge Campbell was thorough and fair. Excellent jurist.

I have appeared before Judge Campbell in multiple cases. He is a good judge when it comes to reviewing and comprehending legal issues prior to conducting oral arguments, though I have witnessed him on one occasion rush to judgment on one particular case without allowing both sides to properly address/brief the issues.

Judge Campbell is easily one of the best jurists on Arizona's District Court bench. If I could have him on all my cases, I would.
