Judge Hurd, you are the best! I love you, please stop the forced shots for school staff as that will be next. You have so much support! Only one against you. Don't be brain washed too. We need you! Taking a pain killer is to stop pain. Duh taking non stop covid shots is to control us. My mother nearly died of the terrorist virus is my guess however I didn't get it inches from her. I still didn't get the shot because because I know it's more harm than good. I'd rather die in my 30s rather than rotting away in a nursing home all drugged up and neglected and like our trust the shot New Yorks , be out of my mind. Anything you need Judge Hurd just say it. I have your back too!

Thank you Judge Hurd! Please keep fighting for us!! We need you to fight for our state. It is frightening that she wants to start bringing this vaccine to the schools. This is why so many are leaving NY. My family does not want to leave. My daughter wants to finish her nursing degree here. Please Judge , we have to keep religious exemptions and medical exemptions. Judge Hurd , I pray that you will still continue to fight this battle on the vaccine mandates. The governor is now focusing on women’s rights ... for abortion etc . People are posting about Women’s Rights and Human Rights. Okay .... isn’t that contradicting ?! She is taking away our Human Right to say “NO” to the vaccine. But , she’s giving the right to us to take a life :( Do people not see this or do some still have your eyes shut ?! Please judge , help us keep our right whether to put this poison into our bodies or not . We need you.

I am so scared about this vaccine mandate. Especially for my daughter who is studying to be a nurse. I don’t understand how the governor is now saying that our doctors and nurses are replaceable, and can get the BOOT if they don’t “comply”. And that word right there ..”COMPLY” is disturbing. My family maybe forced to leave NY , and my daughter won’t be able to go be in the nursing program she wants . Please Judge , put an end to this . Help us go back to living. We are all living in fear right now, and that is not what GOD wants . If we take care of ourselves mentally and physically, and take vitamins that’s all we need. The vaccine is not needed, and not working since many vaccinated are getting sick . Thank you Judge. God Bless you .

I woke up to the news about forced shots and Judge Hurd respecting us as humans who know better than to be brain- washed into the shots. All I have to write is thank God for Judge Hurd.

Judge Hurd for NYS governor is my vote for November. Forced vaccines, where did my rights go? I thought about it last night and getting fined for not having health insurance was most likely step one in human control. Please stop the non-sense Judge Hurd. We need you!

I was at the YMCA community give back event in Schenectady today, and supposedly there were clowns who talked about the vaccines "cure all"... It's scary how stupid people are to not think for themselves rather just because the CDC says something. Anyway from the bottom of my heart, thank you Judge Hurd for allowing us to make our own decisions, with you around it's like we live in a free country. Please don't give into peer pressure, we need you!

I have a lawsuit with my employer, and Judge Hurd is in control of my case, thank God, I saw comments online that he is the best judge, and he proved that so far, anyway I saw on the news about a judge and the vaccines basically against healthcare worker's will and a judge stood up for them. I jokely told myself that's Judge Hurd. I was kidding but online I saw it's true! Best judge ever! Please don't let the governor bully you/us into forced shots with employers over 100.

I want to thank you Judge for fighting for NYS. My family does not want the vaccine for religious reasons. My daughter will be applying for a nursing program in March, and dreams to eventually be a Midwife. She wants to do this in NYS. She’s excited, and we are excited for her . I can’t bare the thought of her dream being destroyed:( I work in a school for children with autism and behavioral issues. I do not want to leave a job I love . We are strongly against what is in this vaccine. It is not pure and isn’t what God wants for us. There are also numerous people I know that have Covid, and are fully vaccinated. They do not have mild symptoms. Once again judge thank you so much . God Bless You

The time for this judge to retire was 25 yaers ago. Biased. Result-oriented. Heavily reversed in 2d Cir.

Excellentjudge. I just tried a case before him and he was perfect. Make no mistake though, he rules with an iron fist, when he makes up his mind just sit down and shut up. But fortunately, his decisions are fair, based on the law and show no prejudice to either side. I would be thrilled having him preside over all my trials.

Received a favorable result in a civil rights matter. Judge Hurd took (from my perspective) a common sense look at the evidence in our statutory appeal and vacated the ALJ's unfavorable opinion. Many federal judges punt on deference grounds. He did not. He was prepared, pleasant and engaged at oral argument. Ruled quickly thereafter (as he said he would). A bit inflexible on scheduling.

Seems even handed, but, seems to offer too many delays without just cause. All in all, seems fair and decisions make sense.

He is a typical disgraceful federal judge. He was bold enough to distort a rule in the Federal Rules of Evidence to rule for the government so that its case would not collapse.

Worst possible judge. Horrible temperament, no knowledge of the law.

Writing in regards to Judge David Hurd's disregard to our 4th amendment. Case in point..after a search warrant was once used, finding evidence of guilt on his computer, this individual was sentenced, serving more than half of said sentence, his property, camera was searched for the first time when a family member ONLY asked for a computer modem to be returned, not the computer or camera. NY State had in their possession this camera for over 6 months and failed to check it during that time. This property was legally the defendents, after serving more than half of his 4 month sentence. That original Search Warrant, at this point in time was Void. In fact one of the NY State Investigators mentioned "They screwed up" by not getting another S-W. The camera was found with pictures which warranted Federal charges. Judge Hurd reviewed this case, competely ignoring the Illegal Search an Seizures 4th amemdment under our Constitution! After all said an done NY State along with the Feds sentenced him to 36 yrs running consecutively. I feel under the circumstances, along with the defendants past clean record, the least Judge Hurd could have done is run it con-currently Bottom line...His Constitutional rights were violated!

In a unanimous, scathing decision, the 2nd Circuit US Court of Appeals once again overturned Judge David Hurd (Federal Court - Utica). They cited Hurd's refusal to abide by prior 2nd Cir. precedent and stripped Hurd from hearing the case from here on, citing his obvious bias. This judge makes up law and issues decisions that depart from precedent knowing that most litigants will not and cannot afford to appeal.

ANother dousy of a Drug suppression case which the 2nd circuit vacates summarily. Judge Hurd throws out a valid search warrant issued by a city court and says that it wasn't valid search so he vacates the verdict. The case is USA vs STEPPELLO, 10-4527-cr. The 2nd district said it: Here, as in Gagnon, the district court employed an incorrect legal standard in evaluating the information provided by the informant. Seems like a phone call saying he'd be there in 20 minutes to deliver the cocaine wasnt enough reason to search him for cocaine. And then the search of his apartment wasnt lawful because the coke found on him was leagally found so it never existed. This Judge lacks basic understanding of Suppresion, Searches, and warrants. Lets hope he goes no further than Disctrict court.

One of the best Judges in the NDNY, very fair, hardworking & honest to a fault.
