Rating is a 3 on a scale of 1-10. This person is one of the more poor excuses for a judge that I have ever seen. And I’ve seen plenty. Apparently she had been thinking about the court of appeals spot for many years-at the expense of paying attention to the litigants in front of her in family court. Her elitest mind must have been set on other sights. Family Court was probably a thrill for her in the beginning but she must have come to feel it was beneath her-no thanks to an overly doting husband. It’s obvious this person has been a doted-on princess all her life. She would never possibly comprehend what it’s like to be in an abusive relationship for him over two decades. Or to have people and their lawyers come into court and lie and do a really stellar job of it. Not that anyone paying attention couldn’t see through the bull-no, that would take someone who can recognize and understand how narcissists and sociopaths operate. They’re flashy and they’re entertaining and they grin-a lot. They make up excuses as to why they need a continuance when the other side is ready. So they can commit adultery one last time before the final decree. The rest of us however are simply doing the best we can with whatever impossible situation we are trying to escape. This judge took my divorce and essentially stuffed my 2 decade tumultuous marriage into a one hour testimony. Let me just say-ling marriages are going to have “old” evidence. Evidence of value. Evidence that lead to the divorce. Over many painful years of patience, and excruciatingly difficult grit of remaining for the sake of the children. Shorter marriages-the ones that no one tried to even do-those are allowed any evidence because why? They’re short and the litigants stopped soon enough for Judge G to allow them to tell their whole story. But Judge Garcia refused to allow testimony about one of my husband’s arrests because it didn’t involve the children directly. But let me tell you something it certainly involved our
