Unpleasant, nasty person. We don't consent to magistrate jurisdiction if she's assigned.

I have watched this Judge abuse the rules of law in favor of an mega law firm and allowed this firm to proceed foreward without answering the complaint and summons in her court. While clearly showing the system who is in charge.

Fantastic. Even though the other side brought an improperly noticed ex parte, she was willing to listen, asked pointed questions to both sides, cited to the moving papers and opposition, and gave a well-reasoned opinion.

Had a settlement conference before Magistrate LaPorte. One party was represented by local mega-firm and LaPorte was biased in her comments and recomendations becasue lawyers from this mega-firm were on the other side. Incredibly arragoant and automatically imrpessed with lawyers from local mega firms. She even tried to argue that particlar issues shoud be settled becasue the other side was represented by local mega-firm. Would never agree to have her serve as trial judge and would not suport her elevation.

This judge is biased and perhaps corrupt. She has little regard for judicial ethics and doesn't follow the law, especially when one of the parties is represented by her friends/acquaitances from an influential law firm that can help her attain Article III status.

Very even-handed and fair. Takes the time to read and understand the briefing and come to a fair result.

I object to comment and rating 2484. First of all, giving a judge all ones obviously does not accurately reflect that judge's competence as a judge. If the writer is so dissatisfied with that judge, write congress with specific instances of "legislating from the bench"; don't make up inaccurate reviews of their judicial performance. Lastly, the writer should realize that "Liberal" is derived from "Liberty"; something we should all cherish.
