In a press interview, Judge Lee openly referred to the litigants before her as "wife beaters". If your client has been accused of domestic violence, you should know that she has ALREADY concluded that you are guilty. This bears out my repeated experience. This judge is a paper pushing bureaucrat committed to no principle other than her pension check. There is no sense of due process in Judge Lee's courtroom. And there is not enough IQ in Judge Lee to depart from the DEI-endorsed stampede of guilty-first conclusions. You can appeal her rulings and they will be reversed because they are almost always reversible error. But it will cost your client money. Avoid her in the first place.

Judge Elizabeth Lee is an incompetent, biased bureaucrat that has failed into her current role as a path to retirement benefits - there is no commitment to principle here. Her bias against men is openly on display. If you are accused of domestic violence, she presumes you are guilty and gerrymanders court procedures to ensure you are convicted. There is no space in her limited worldview for Silver Bullet divorce tactics where a woman fabricates DV claims to gain advantage in divorce. Judge Lee simply cannot imagine this - willfully lives with her head in the sand to make things easy for herself. Judge E. Lee is also incompetent. She delayed for 130 days, then ruled on a 1000-page Habeas Petition without calling a hearing or any adversarial briefing whatsoever. Why? lazy and cannot imagine fabricated DV claims. This Judge is a menace to equal protection, biased against men and will destroy the life of your client if you don't believe it.

Judge Lee is extremely biased against men. If you have a male client, you should immediately file for change. She has, in the press referred to men before her on DV charges as "wife beaters". This is wildly inappropriate. Judge Lee is entirely incompetent in any post conviction action. She should not be permitted to rule on post conviction matters.

this judge is a complete disrespectful biased person! she was appointed to my sons case and in his hearing. The first disrespectful words out of her mouth was “l do t even know why I’m here” like it was disrupting her morning! as the hearing went on she did not want to hear a thing our Lawer had to say! Putting aside all evidence in my son’s case aside. After reading these other reviews I believe this lady has no reason to be allowed to judge anyone. everything in these comments are spot on! She is a disgrace to our judicial system and needs to go!

Judge Lee shows shameless bias against while males. If you are one and are assigned to Judge Lee, immediately protest on the grounds of bias. Judge Lee is a cynical bureaucrat who refers to unconvicted defendants as "wife beaters". Her career is a failure rooted in an sad simplified view of the world through an identity - race, gender, sexual preference lens. It is not surprising to see her among the lowest rated judges nationwide.

Judge Lee is a snapshot for why the US citizens confidence in the judiciary has dropped from 60% to 35% in just 4 years. She is blatantly untethered to the statute, making her decisions based on her personal biases about identity (against straight, white, men) and manipulates the law to support them. She actually refers to defendants as "wife beaters" in media appearances. This is unacceptable. Please remove her from her post.

This San Mateo County (SMC) Court, Presiding Judge just goes along with whatever her other Court judges say, while ignoring the evidence, laws and even higher court rulings. This is easy to verify. Her judge was removed from the court as punishment for wrongfully ruling against a divorce client over and over again. He had created false convictions and used them to make one party pay severe financial punishments in a divorce case, (totaling over $4 million in losses). These were overturned by the CA Attorney General, Appellate Court, and Chief Justice. And yet, the SMC Court and Judge (where all judges recused themselves to avoid the cases), just responded (2024) by doubling the conviction sentence, and without returning a single lost dime. The SMC Court is in trouble with the DoJ.
