They police advised me to get the order of protection when my ex showed up to my house a year after moving out. She came with a moving truck an movers because she thought I would be gone. Judge Hayes asked the participants of the case before mine at least 15 questions, frivolous questions. I expected the same type of questioning, or at least to be able to explain why I was there. When it was my turn, she asked me one question. She asked if my ex was allowed into the residence. I answered no. She said there was no reason to that this was an emergency and gave me a court date. On that date, she called me to the front of the court 4 times, with a different mispronunciation of my name each time, just to tell me to go sit back down because the other person wasn't there. The final time, she gave me another court date. Since I couldn't have my phone in court, it wasn't until later that I realized that the date given was a saturday. I later got a notice in the mail that my motion was dismissed for want of prosecution. She shouldn't be trusted to come to the right conclusion, especially when it affects peoples' lives so dramatically.

Elizabeth gave criminal stalkers the floor to speak and asks questions for overly lengthy periods of time. Sheet one man talk and ask questions for over 20 minutes who was clearly a stalker and in fact even called him intelligent afterwards. As a woman victim of domestic abuse I was not given the platform to speak at all. She kept me quiet and only asked questions that tailored to her predetermined opinions towards the case. I was treated like a criminal for wanting to take a stand and protect myself from an abuser. She is the reason woman don’t feel comfortable coming forward.
