In a civil case, Hon. Ernst A Halperin handed a few decisions against me and others in my favor, ultimately recused. But nevertheless, I did see his proceeding and performance as a judge, being proper, courteous, and firm. And I do believe he thoroughly considered the applicable law on the issues in front of him.
