I am a criminal defense attorney from New York City On criminal cases, she has no intellect for federal criminal statutes, case analysis. It's really a shock appearing in front of her compared to the judges on the east and west coasts. Nor does she have the capacity to stand up to AUSAs, probably because she is an Article IV judge, not III, and thus depends on the government to be re-appointed. It's very frustrating filing pretrial motions on criminal cases and have her summarily go with the government, displaying a lack of understanding of the defense arguments.
