Frederick D. R. Sampson

A caricature of a judge. The embodiment of Jacki Childs. Rude. Interrupts constantly. Talks down to attorneys and does not let them state their case. Being before him was like having two plaintiff attorneys on the case. One review said that negative reviews must be from unprepared attorneys. Ridiculous. That reviewer must be a plaintiff's attorney. Judge Sampson's silly pontificating and misuse of words is entertaining to watch, like Jackie Childs, but that kind of overinflated self-importance, social ineptitude, and ignorance are totally useless in a court of law. Glad to see him go.

Gives attorneys a very hard time for absolutely no reason. Atrocious experience before him.

Sampson is a mixed bag. Deep down, I think he may be a nice person despite his rude commentary, which may be somewhat of an act or ruse. He seems to care and wants to move cases. It is a tall order. With that said, his decorum is questionable. He doesn’t hear out parties and wastes a lot of time pontificating. His quips and self-deprecating comments are interesting, but with a bunch of other matters on your plate, it can become frustrating being held hostage. Block off your calendar until 1:00 p.m. or later if you are commuting.

A clown on the bench. Talks endlessy and pointlessly. Lazy, late to court and stupid. Looks for reasons to give attorneys a hard time. Takes an hour to run through a short calendar that a competent judge would dispose of in fifteen minutes. Accomplishes almost nothing of substance.
