Courteous and professional with a good judicial temperment tailored to problem solving... but his courtroom is pretty disorganized at times causing many needless delays.

He's not nearly as nice as a previous commenter has claimed.

He's not nearly as nice as a previous commenter has claimed. However, he's also not as bad as other horrendous judges in that court. Be careful litigating a restraining order in his court, because he considers nothing short of murder a cause of civil harassment. I'm a female. I had ample evidence of continual harassment & abuse against respondent, a hysterical female who actually jumped up & down in court, screamed, behaved completely like a lunatic. And he still refused to issue a restraining order. Also, his clerk is a complete & utterly rude, unprofessional idiot. The clerk, some (For lack of a better word) flighty, empty-headed but indeed malicious male, during the entire proceedings, stood up his desk & shot me dirty looks without bothering to hide it. This clerk is has no place inside a court, period, unless it's as a defendant. Zero decorum, zero professionalism, zero maturity, zero self-control. I mean, he stood up at his desk, for a straight hour, just to openly stare at me with contempt & hatred. What court employee, especially a judge's clerk, does that?? Blame it all on the judge who refuses to reign him in at any point.

Hon. Gary Roberts is one of the better judges that I've been in front of.

Hon. Gary Roberts is one of the better judges that I've been in front of. He is sane, kind, reads people, seems to want to see the good in people, I have a father of child that created so many false stories. Hon. Roberts would recognize these false stories and would uphold the judgment. He is respectful to people in the Court room. Know what you want when you go in there. He said to me once "I want to help you but I do not know what you are asking for". That was a huge lesson for me.
