Firm but fair sentencer.

Firm but fair sentencer. Went above Probation recommendation in a fraud case a while back, but was entirely justified in doing so. Courteous, smart, sharp and reviewed everthing; gave us all the time we needed and, well, just a great judge overall. Central Islip is generally a tough bench for fraud cases, especially where there are victims out their life savings. Wow, I'm looking at the post immediatly below and that poster used the same "firm but fair" language I used at the outset. I guess you can't ask for anything more from a judge.

"Firm but fair".

"Firm but fair". He reads everything prior to sentencing, and asks really good questions. Definitely best to shoot straight with him, as I think that he has a low tolerance for bs.

A well-prepared judge.

A well-prepared judge. He is thoughtful, interested in the facts and thinks about the real-world implications of his rulings. Judge Brown and his chambers were responsive and prompt in our civil litigation, each party was able to make their case and he treated the parties with respect. I would be happy to have any case wheeled to him.

Try your best to get another Judge.

Try your best to get another Judge. This man is trying to make it known that he is Ruthless. Sentencing reformation is lost with this judge. His Magistrate is in his ear with her own brand of Evil. A gruesome duo. Treats his staff poorly. A polar opposite than our deeply missed Judge Spatt. Don't leave your clients life in his hands.

Judge Brown is so considerate of how civil rights discrimination cases deeply affect the plaintiff's entire life.

Judge Brown is so considerate of how civil rights discrimination cases deeply affect the plaintiff's entire life. He is compassionate and so willing to see justice for the disabled worker. He is leading a great way for the furthering of rights for the disabled worker. He was the perfect replacement for Judge Spatt who was a legend & had the incredible respect of all his peers. Judge Brown will make leaps & bounds for the disabled. Judge Spatt is smiling from above. It is an honor to watch it unfold
