I really like this judge. When I first walked into her courtroom, I thought "total chaos." But sitting through her motion day docket (I was way down the docket), I began to see, despite the noise, she has total control of that courtroom. She and her clerks have it down, they manage cases several at a time depending on the case needs. Her clerks are excellent, especially the principle law clerk. She is obviously smart, she is energetic, engaged, reads papers in advance and knows what she's doing. She is respectful of counsel, yet firm. Very efficient. I rarely heap praise on anyone, and haven't felt the need to say anything nice about a judge in a long time (practicing well over 30 years now in NY). But this is a very good judge.
