Walsh’s ruling was complete Jabberwocky. I won my case, but Walsh’s incoherent wording of his orders opened the door for my perpetrator to appeal. I just want to left alone and be in peace! If my perpetrator is so concerned with the attorney fees he has to pay, perhaps he shouldn’t be filing a 700 page appeal! His equally Jabberwockian appeal has worse odds than the lottery. He couldn’t fool Walsh, so how does he expect to fool a 3-judge panel? Walsh could have ended this multi year saga, but his cognitive abilities to rule cohesively leaves much to be desired. I hope my perpetrator enjoys the $50k-$100k+ legal bill he’s getting from my attorney about 6 months from now. For as much as my perpetrator claims he’s the “real prevailing party,” in reality he’s just a psycho loser with no life, no family, and no one who cares about him. That’s why he targets me so relentlessly. Fighting me is all he lives for, and he dreads the day I’m finally free to live my life, get married, finish my degree, and build the kind of life he will never have. I am infinitely “richer” and more blessed than he will ever be.

As a newly widowed woman, Judge Walsh allowed my home to be stolen from me. He allowed someone to change my title with no repercussions nor was the title ever changed back to me. He allowed these same people to squat in my home. This judge made my life hell. I kept adding attorneys hoping someone would figure the out the insanity. No equity from my family home, only left with attorney fees. Extremely sad situation on the heels of losing my 55 yo husband. No justice for me.

Walsh could easily do the right thing and correct his mistakes to end a contentious litigation that has been ongoing for over a decade, but instead he chose to complicate it to the point where both sides are thoroughly confused. Instead of moving on in life, now I’m forced to pursue an expensive appeal over his mistake that’s blatantly black and white. Walsh violated my due process rights, made up the law as he went along, with no support by the authorities, and all without notice or a hearing. I was not given an opportunity to challenge his position because he made a motion on behalf of the court in his own head, failed to provide any notice, then ruled on it and inserted his decision into an unrelated motion. Neither side made arguments or even cited the section of law Walsh relied on in his erroneous ruling. The law isn’t even allowed to be applied the way he allied it, he applied it all in reverse totally against what the spirit of the legislature who crafted the law in the first place. The previous poster is right. He makes arbitrary decisions that are based on feelings and discrimination against parties he doesn’t like. The only reason Walsh would do this is discrimination, and I think if he reads this he will know who I am because he’s got a guilty conscience. This is a guilty judge, and he hurt me. Walsh says things in the court paperwork like, “That is life,” but it isn’t. That is death and suffering for no reason other than his ego and need to “split the baby” to make everyone unhappy. His mistakes and terrible performance as a judge are hurtful and wrongful injustices that have shaken my faith in the justice system 100%. In Ventura County, there is no justice, only injustice.

Arbitrary decisions are a hallmark of corruption. When a judge makes decisions absent justification, with no stated rationale, inconsistent with prior rulings, with secrecy and pretextual arguments, it calls his court’s legitimacy into question. Henry Walsh’s courtroom behavior is bizarre and hurtful to vulnerable people in our community. He needs to reform his behavior or risk exposure. We all know the CJP is negligent and lacks sufficient oversight. Henry Walsh needs to retire now!

I just want to be free to live my life without everything constantly being taken away from me. I thought I was finally going to be able to move on, but no. Walsh had to make a mess of everything so I stay in litigation forever. Why do this to me? Do you get enjoyment watching me suffer? Don’t you think I’ve suffered enough? What you’re doing is forcing me to come forward. Why do this? I hope you understand that I wanted to just let this go, but now that’s impossible. God, I’ve always lived a moral, honorable life, but none of that matters in court. The abuser can just lie, lie, and lie, and judges just believe it. An impossible standard for me and no standard for the abuser. That’s court. Just so you know how this has impacted me, I haven’t been able to sleep for several days straight (1-2 hours sleep each night, waking up early due to adrenaline). I’m on the phone with family 12+ hours a day some days, with my support system helping me everyday at least an hour or two every night. I understand that you hate people like me. I get it. That’s the bias in court. I just want to move on. Please don’t hurt me anymore. Henry Walsh, please just let me go. I don’t want to suffer anymore.

The right to due process, to be heard after a noticed motion, is fundamental to the protections built into the judicial process. When judges take it upon themselves to issue court orders absent a motion and without a hearing or notice, it seriously compromises the integrity of the entire court system. How can litigants be confident that their judges are not "bought and paid for" when judges violate basic due process rules? Walsh's behavior in this regard is deeply [Redacted by Ed.]. Every litigant has a right to be heard, to voice their objections before a judgement is made. To violate basic due process, issuing monetary judgements without a hearing, motion, notice, or any opportunity to challenge the issues before the court is strikingly unlawful, and I predict the litigant will have a very successful appeal.

This amounted to $1,499 from one attorney, followed by another "contribution" from his law partner in the amount of $1,000. Dear Public, We have received information regarding recent actions by Judge Walsh that calls his court’s legitimacy into question. He purposefully ignores basic tenants of civil litigation law, forcing a victim of crime into an appeal that has a near 100% certainty of success. The appeals court usually has less than a 1% success rate, so this particular anomaly of law is very striking. Without compromising the victim’s confidentiality, Judge Walsh committed a blatant breach of due process that most lawyers would agree is atrocious. Walsh’s conduct is not okay. It is abuse of law that he does not have discretion over. On a side note, I see that RadiantTruth.com is back up. I agree with everything that has been said about Walsh. He needs to retire BAD.

Judge Walsh is an example of how easily our system can be abused by ego and back room deals. He favors certain street gutter attorneys in town. I observed how he giddily looked to punish innocent people. He allowed his friends in the bar to push innocent civil defendants around with threats of criminal prosecution to force a settlement. Abuse of power at its finest. Too bad his retirement did not come in time to save my friend from his reign of terror.

‘ Judge Walsh was publicly censured in 2016 by the Commission on Judicial Performance for accepting post-election campaign contributions from attorneys with active cases in his court, which was illegal and violated anti-corruption rules meant to prevent the taking of bribes.

"Return to them this very day their fields, their vineyards, their olive orchards, and their houses, and the percentage of money, grain, wine, and oil that you have been extracting from them." [Nehemiah 4,5] Walsh has serious ethics and misconduct issues that have been reported to the CJP for years. He is the oldest judge in Ventura and can barely keep a cognitive thought let alone remember important facts about a case. It is finally time for him to retire and move on.

Judge Walsh is retiring at the end of the year. He has serious misconduct issues, and his retirement will be a very good thing for Ventura County.
