Jaclyn Medina

I find this Judge to be a highlight of Bergen County Family Law section. She is one of those rare people who is beautiful insight and out. She leads with wisdom, graciousness, kindness and patience. Although you can get on her bad side, it is probably because you have exhausted her limit of patience for the day. Give her a break and try again another day. I feel like she tries very hard to do her best but given the volume of cases she handles and personalities that she deals with, some days take a tall on even the best of us. We need more Judges like Medina in our family division and world in general. If you came here to say nasty things about her, then you don't know how BAD it gets out there. Read some other reviews of Judges even in Bergen county, and count your blessings.

When my case was assigned to Judge Medina, I initially believed she was attentive to my child’s best interests, but over time I felt the case was not handled in a fair or impartial manner and appeared to be concluded without properly resolving the core issues. I made repeated efforts to provide a stable, safe environment for my child, including obtaining health insurance, correcting documentation issues, and addressing medical concerns. I also raised repeated visitation and compliance violations, but I felt these issues were not meaningfully enforced or resolved, which ultimately undermined my ability to maintain a consistent relationship with my child. I don’t think she truly cared for my case and seemed to have been extremely biased.

This Judge truly cares about my son, I feel like she makes decisions in the best interests of my son unlike many judges who only care about pleasing one of the parents. She has a lot of wisdom to her, she quotes law when speaking, she is very patient and kind. I do like her a lot. In fact, I have been to family court a lot in different counties over the past few years and she is definitely the gem of family law compared to others.

Gender bias. Don't care about truth. If you have her you're in trouble already. Don't care to listen that is a fact

Gender Biased and incompetent DEI hire violating people’s due process rights and hurting children. A complete sociopath that is devoid of reality and has no intention of making the right judgement. Should be disbarred and deported back to Cuba where her loser father came from.

I am a critic of the Bergen County Court however this judge is very patient, astute and applies the law correctly. Was very shocked today to see her rule in my favor in a family court proceeding. Definitely need more judges like this one she really is honorable.

This judge treated me with injustice. She didn’t care to hear me , she didn’t even try to understand me. She dismissed me like I was a kid on the streets! The worst judge ever! Because her lack of interest, I was assaulted by my abuser while 9 months pregnant! She refused to hear anything that I had to say!

This Judge is so good that she should be used as an example for the others in Bergen's family court. She cares about justice, goes out of her way to understand the facts of the case and hasn't been corrupted as so many of the other Judges in Hackensack have. Families are lucky to have her on the stand.
