Judge Mecca is an incredibly fair and knowledgable family law judge. She was my judge during my divorce and when I found articles online about her, I was very nervous because my child and I were abused during the marriage and I was worried she’d allow my husband to get a lot of time with our child. Improper Case Assignment & Judge Shopping: On August 7, 2023, Mr. Allen J. Scazafabo, Esq., of Riker Danzig LLP, requested our case be transferred to Judge Gallina-Mecca. Despite this blatant judge-shopping, condemned in Goldfarb v. Solimine, 460 N.J. Super. 22 (App. Div. 2019), she allowed the reassignment and ruled in his favor on nearly every issue. She even denied motions drafted by seasoned attorneys, assuming I wrote them myself. 2. Repeated Favoritism & Bias: Judge Gallina-Mecca granted nearly all motions by Mr. Scazafabo while denying all of mine. She also stated the case outcome would be different if I had an attorney, despite my financial inability to retain one, violating Canon 2 of the Code of Judicial Conduct (requiring judges to avoid actual and apparent impropriety). 3. Fabrication of an Attorney Certification to Justify an Illegal Fee Award: On December 1, 2023, Judge Gallina-Mecca falsely claimed on the record that she had reviewed an Attorney Certification for Attorney Fees submitted by Mr. Scazafabo. It is shameful that Bergen County appointed this ignorant and nasty Judge to head the Family Division. She spent her career barely able to handle DCPP cases and she was not fit for that position. She is completely biased, nasty to any attorney or Pro Se Litigant she does not know. (typical for Bergen County). There is no other word to describe her demeanor towards Pro Se litigant's except DISGUSTING! She is a horrible judge and should be removed.

This is about Evelyn Nissirios, her favorite appointed guardian ad litem. Both of them together run a mafia state. Evelyn is the stupidest person I have ever met, knows nothing about the law, but throws temper tantrums if she does not get her way. She abuses her position - which requires NO qualifications and yet she decides the fates of families - to violently abuse and kidnap children. Judge Jane Gallina-Mecca starkly reveals how the legal system is ill-equipped to deal with unfit judges. There is simply no remedy for a judge who is out to abuse her power to play out [redacted]. In one case where I was a witness, she simply destroyed six lives, for no other reason than that they cared about the children she was seeking to destroy! She is playing a game with people's lives, out on a power trip and taking revenge on whatever [redacted]. This is scandalously wrong and a real problem that the law has no remedy for these abuses, which seem to be the #1 rampant problem in "the sewer" of the family court system.

Judge Jane Gallina-Mecca abused her position as Judge to help my husband kidnap my children (I have not seen seen or heard from them for almost three years) and attempt to murder me. Over a dozen medical professionals have documented the harm she has done to me and my children, but Judge Mecca continues to abuse her authority to [Redacted by Ed.] the case results and not admit any evidence. She not only shunned my primary witness from testifying on my husband’s domestic violence and child abuse that she witnessed, but even falsely arrested her, in coordination with my violent husband. She also stonewalled ten medical professionals who would have testified about his violence. [Redacted by Ed.] Judge Mecca refused to hold an evidentiary hearing all these years since my children were wrongly taken from me by a SWAT team, on the weekend she assigned me to have them, and during this past week, which was supposed to be my trial, Judge Mecca blocked me out. She tried to label me as “mentally unfit,” but when her own appointed guardian ad litem concluded I was “fit”, she immediately fired the guardian ad litem. She prohibited me from speaking with my sister, who is my greatest support, so that I would be maximally isolated and vulnerable. [Redacted by Ed.] I felt my own life to be at risk at least six times while my case was under this judge, [Redacted by Ed.] I have been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder as a direct result of her actions, and the validity of my fear for my life is medically documented. My husband is a diagnosed psychopath involved in multiple financial fraud schemes who subjected me to years of psychological, sexual, physical, and financial abuse, and now “tangential spouse abuse” through the abuse of my children and legal abuse. This is the person she is protecting and helping, in every way possible.

The majority of these reviews are pin point accurate she has allowed in front of my very own eyes and in open court; conflict of interest, perjury by her forensic witness, complete collusion, ordered the vaccine to a minor infant, and abuses her power ridiculously. An absolute tyrannical criminal who is protected by a ridiculous immunity, and out of control going 1 million mph and no one can stop her. Her legacy will be one of abuse, complete negligence of her duties as a judge while destroying families and abusing her power to no end, with a healthy dose of collusion and disregard for the entire judicial system on the side! God please help all those who go in front on this dishonorable tyrant judge!

~This is the most obnoxious, arrogant judge I have ever seen. She doesn't listen, laughed at me, called me mentally ill, has pre-written judgments, disregards evidence and is vehemently anti-mother. She allows cases to drag on and on, causing parents to lose time with their children and breaking parent-children bonds. I want to wipe that smirk off her miserable face.

What this woman runs is not a court. It is a child kidnapping operation, hidden in "legal" disguise. She conceals her crimes through "court seals" and "gag orders," but what she is really doing is covering up her child trafficking enterprise: abduct first, and then spend years locking litigants in her courtroom to psychologically break them, to create a fraudulent narrative, and to destroy actual evidence. I am not a litigant, and so I am not "disgruntled". That she is the chief judge of "family court" speaks volumes of the depths of rot that runs through the New Jersey legal system.

Biased against father's, favor mothers and does any and everything to give them the upper hand even when the father is the plaintiff with sufficient evidence. When alienation has been alleged with police reports and CPS reports they will go unheard as many times as I say it on as many dates as u want. I want to give a negative rating but 1 is the least. Judges should have no favoritism or personal thoughts about any case before them, all should be left to facts. And to add, she also has ZERO compassion for anything you are going through if she already makes up her mind about you, especially if u have no lawyer. She will.only hear from a lawyer and when a regular person speaks she dismisses it almost immediately. She will have side convos with the clerk etc, and almost ignore what you're saying if she has already made up her mind about you. I've been before her 3 times as a PLAINTIFF and was treated like a lying criminal when I presented facts about to situation my child is in. And when I strongly urges her to contact CPS and a police dept to support these claims dating years back, she ignored it ever single time. And unfortunately I'm filing again and it says she will be the judge. So I have an idea where this is going....back on the calendar after she make yet another terrible decision that has already severely impacted my life as a father.

I am grateful to Robing Room for posting my critical observations, but dismayed that the specific details, which by definition demonstrate unfitness, could not be published. Judges are public officials who need to be held accountable to the public, and yet abuses of judicial immunity, total secrecy in Family Court, and a lack of accountability create circumstances of great danger for children and families.

I am an expert witness who has been exposed to a number of cases under this judge, some in considerable detail, and there seems to be a singular modus operandi with her: extreme abuse of power.
