It is my professional assessment that Moses acted in a manner that was neither fair nor consistent with California Superior Court rules. He displayed a high degree of emotionality rather than judicial neutrality, and he proceeded with the trial despite the absence of properly filed joint exhibit binders, which is contrary to standard pre-trial requirements. Throughout the proceedings, Plaintiff’s counsel engaged in repeated leading questions, yet Moses failed to intervene or enforce proper evidentiary rules. Additionally, he did not ensure that a certified court reporter was present, a procedural safeguard that is essential in any evidentiary hearing or bench trial for purposes of appellate review. His conduct was inconsistent with the duties of a neutral adjudicator, and his handling of the matter fell short of the expectations for someone acting in a judicial capacity.

Recently had the pleasure of trying a civil case before Judge Moses (we were sent out from Stanley Mosk). He knew the law, was even handed and fair, was open to being corrected if he'd missed something, and exercised a refreshing amount of common sense. Very flexible with scheduling, while moving the case along. I would not hesitate to try another case before Judge Moses.
