Jeff Virgin was the judge in my son's 2nd degree murder case.

Jeff Virgin was the judge in my son's 2nd degree murder case. After 30 character letters written, after 11 read in court. After my sons 11 page letter to the court, Jeff Virgin looked my son in the eyes and said, I believe you. I believe all of you however you were convicted by a jury of your peers, and gave him the maximum sentence. He's never had a parking ticket. And didn't deserve 20 yrs

This judge is very unfair, rude, unsympathetic [Redacted by Ed.]. He watched a lady with mental health issues be drug out of the court by deputies while members at the prosecution table laughed and joked about it and didn’t even say anything. He appears to take sides and gives very unfair sentencing for first time offenders. He has zero compassion for people suffering with mental health issues or for abused children that turn into criminal and need help.

These two previous posters are probably political sycophants or lawyers having a chit called in to write a favorable review here. Jeffy Virgin is a politician in robes so expect legislation from the bench. And NO, he follows neither case law or procedure, and corrupts procedure for issued mandamus. Jeff Virgin was reprimanded for partisan campaigning. In response to the first reprimand Mr. Virgin continued to send partisan campaign material post partisan campaign signs until a second reprimand was issued. You should google "Jeff Virgin Violated" for the story. Case law in Oklahoma is unambiguous. See Brown and it's progeny. " A judge should never be a partisan. He should endeavor to treat both sides with equal fairness and impartiality. Whenever a judge becomes a partisan, his usefulness on the bench is at an end." Several versions of Judicial Cannon express the same concerns About this violation, And if that is not enough, §20-1404. provides: Additional grounds for removal of judicial officer. 3. Participation by a judicial officer, while serving as such officer or while a candidate for judicial office, in any partisan political activity. So even upon reprimand by the Judicial Election Commission, Mr. Virgin continued to participate in partisan campaigning. This shows the boy is plain stupid and does not belong on the bench. More important is the sleazebag attorneys he schedules ex-parte meetings have the potential to extort favorable rulings to pursue just cause for his removal. Jeff is easy enough to get a Writ of Mandamus issued for these clear violations of Judicial Cannon. It is a slippery slope to plain corruption. Read the OTHER Jeff Virgin reviews from McClain County if you want to see real reviews. Get away from this one. Have him removed from the bench as he should be according to case law and statute. Or better yet, get the USDOJ public integrity section a call to explain criminal irregularities.
