When appearing before this judge, it is imperative to act with utmost diligence, particularly in scheduling motions for hearing promptly upon filing. The judge enforces a strict adherence to timelines and does not tolerate delays, regardless of the cause, unless promptly communicated. UMCs are a testament to his readiness to engage actively with both parties, often initiating rigorous questioning once a case is on the docket. Despite his commitment to maintaining case progression and holding parties accountable to deadlines—a practice that undeniably benefits the legal process—there are concerns regarding his interpersonal demeanor. While his frustrations can be justified, especially in instances where attorneys appear unprepared or fail to advance their cases, the manner in which feedback is delivered is often contentious. Instances of demeaning or mocking behavior towards attorneys, particularly those displaying nervousness or a momentary lack of legal acuity, detract from the professionalism expected in judicial proceedings. While direct communication is essential in the legal field, respect and professionalism should never be compromised.

A moron and megalomaniac with a vengeful disposition, the most peremptory, narrow-minded Judge I have encountered in the 45 years (33 as practioner followed by 12 as litigant) I've been involved with the legal system, he's among the "luminaries" most often reversed by the Fourth District Court of Appeal.

Bright. Efficient. Absolutely no nonsense. Courteous if you are prepared. Brutal if you are not.
