The retirement of Judge Jill Weedon in 2024 marked a long-overdue turning point for the people of Beckham, Custer, Ellis, Roger Mills, and Washita counties. Appointed by Democrat Governor Brad Henry, she enjoyed a lengthy tenure on the bench, largely unchallenged due to running unopposed in elections—a fact that speaks more to the system than her merit. For years, her rulings cast a dark shadow over Oklahoma, consistently favoring out-of-state big business over the livelihoods of local citizens. Countless Oklahomans saw their lives upended by her decisions, a legacy of ruin that stands as a testament to her time in power. Now, taxpayers are left footing the bill for her retirement benefits—an insult added to the injury of her judicial reign. The Second Judicial District is undeniably better off without her.

Judge. Amazing. Fair minded and not simply an agent of corrupt state DAs and pigs. Puts criminals away, let's innocent people framed by the state receive justice. Couldn't ask for a better judge.
