Judge Love is a classic example of why a trial judge should have litigation experience before advancing to the bench. He pays scant attention to evidentiary rules and has no time for inconvenient legal doctrine such as qualified immunity. I'll second the "results oriented" comment made earlier. He is largely led around by his staff attorneys, who are far more capable. He's on my "never consent" list.

Judge Love is in WAY over his head in comples civil cases. He is trying to establish himself as a pro-plaintiff astute and progressive judge but he is failing miserably. He is very results oriented in his rulings but fails to provide support that will withstand scrutiny on appeal. Basically a big waste of tiem and money for litigants.

All around great guy and a good Judge. Makes mistakes, but you get the strong impression he's trying to get it right so the mistakes are easier to deal with.

Judge Love is a new magistrate and may be in a little over his head (experience-wise). In an attempt to be completely even-handed he tends to lose control over the case resulting in unnecessary and protracted litigation. However, as far as judges/magistrates go you could do much worse!

Very capable. A real scholar. Personable but not overly so. Pretty much by the book. Very stable. Follows the law. Loads of integrity.
