Relaxed demeanor. tends to "split the baby" which would be fine - except that he is NOT a scholar - extremely lightweight on civil law - and when he does not know the law - he makes it up. Not good.

This Federal Magitrate displays unprofessional behaviours he is biased, discrimmatory and treats respected citizens with contempt. He makes unfounded judgements, is not prepared to listen to what needs to be said and his bullying and intimidating in his manner.

Judge O'Sullivan is smart and has had a distinguished career. He should be elevated to full Article III status. In civil litigation he usually has to endure the chore of refereeing discovery disputes, and overall he is very good at it but splits the baby a bit.

Fair, human, decent.

A judge that does not allow his position get to his head and is firm,but fair. He runs the hearings at a good pace not allowing baloney like some others judges do. What might take others two or three hours, this judge does it in one hour. Sullivan would make an outstanding federal district Judge.

Hard working magistrate who has on several occasions been a finalist for apppointment to the district bench, a post of which he is deserving. Even temperament, well-prepared and scupulously fair to all parties. Very low-key, with a good sense of humor. Not the greatest legal scholar, but works hard to master the issues in the case.

An excellent judge. Great temperament. Very even-handed. He'll make the government put witnesses on in bond hearings and will allow some meaningful cross. He'll make the government produce an agent for bond hearings who actually knows something about the facts of the case. He won't reflexively detain people just because the gov't asks him to. He is polite and respectful. The guy is a pleasure to appear in front of.
