The judge is an idiot. We went into the court for small claims and he treats everyone like this was a full blown trial. It's a small claims matter and he tells you that if you don't have a lawyer you are wrong. That is the whole purpose of small claims court. He is old, lazy, and the epitome of what is wrong with the judiciary today. Don't bother going to small claims court in Ocean County because you will have a judge who is too lazy do do his job.

What on God's green earth is going on in Ocean County's court system? The corruption/incompetence is astounding. This judge is yet another pompous clown. I see all the family court comments here, and that makes me boil because I have been there myself though it was in Monmouth years back. JUST AS BAD. A HORROR. Family court is the worst. There is no concern for the kids. It's all biased bs that keeps them in business. My current case is a fairly small civil one. But everyone's matter is important to him. If not for these horrible judges, I would be at peace knowing that whenever I bring a case, it is a solid, winnable one. But because of them, and the system in general, my insides are tied up in knots every time I have to deal with anything in this court.

Judge Doran took the time to read our entire case with about 50 court orders. He saw immediately that our case was mishandled and work hard to fix the damage done by the original incompetent judge and then the lackadaisical other judges that were assigned. We were saddened that he left family court. But, if it wasn’t for him none of the immense progress would have been made. If I have one complaint, it is that he never ordered sanctions against the litigant for their blatant disregard for a judges order

This Judge is an embarrassment to the entire judicial system and should be removed from family court. I went before this Judge for Child Support. My son 20 was working while attending college and just moved in with his father when i went before this judge. My daughter lived with me and she was 14. This Judge never ran the Child Support Guidelines or even looked at either of our earnings and said it was an “ even swap” for child support. He then stated on record and in his Order, with Prejudice, that I can’t receive Child Support….ever for my son! So if he moved back home that night I could not ever collect child support for him! This is not even legal! He’s a poor example for a Judge! He should be investigated and removed!
