While every sitting Judge exhibits a certain degree of involvement, understnading, interest and judicial concerns for the law, some more than others, and Judge Adams more than most, has a real innate strength about his demeanor that drives respect. I blieve it is based on his willingness to demonstrate connection to each and every litigant and attorney. His Honor is amongst the most industrious, light hearted and outspoken in the County. A genuine educator and mentor, JUdge Adams personally sees to it that the District Attorneys practicing before him get an unabridged sense of what the career may require of them. Never passing Judgment, ironically, rather it is responsibility for one's willingness to put in the work and to maintain the open mind that is essential to practicing criminal law. As a defense attorney Judge Adams has historically been on the cutting edge of where the law is headed and routinely discusses breaking new in Court as it pertains to cases being addressed. Obviously that is engaging for the litigants and demanding ( as it should be) on the attorneys. I think Judge Adams is timeless. His honor would have been just fine in a Revolutionary Era Congress or utilizing Artificial Intelligence 100 years from now... hopefully not a thing would change. He sets the bar very high.
