Definitely one of the better judges at understanding civil litigation claims and issues. Can handle complex laws and reviews the complete record and pkeadings to have a full grasp of the case before him. Even when disagree with his ruling, at least it is rationally and legally based as opposed to opinion based for an outcome like some judges.
