This judge is horrible! COMPLETELY HATES WOMEN! Is very bias and sides with dads or male veterans. I have had this judge for the last 3 years and has made countless orders against women and allow the fathers to abuse the mothers in many ways, mentally, emotionally, financially and physically! He makes serious calls to take children away from the mothers even after having a full court investigations done and having no findings. I believe his orders and standing should be reviewed from someone higher than him. He doesn’t not read the full history on cases! He looks at the women with such hate and disgust and makes it very noticeable and obvious he does not like them. He needs to be REVIEWED AND REMOVED FROM THE BENCH!

I have never reviewed a judge before because even when I do not see the outcome I want, decisions are generally sound and reasonable. However, I am reviewing a case and felt it necessary for this to be made known, especially given the many other reviews that allude to this same bias.

Very rude, very biased. Does not consider facts, only in person presentation which gives the higher earner the edge since they can afford representation. This is not the type of person who should be presiding over family law.

If your a mom in a custody case get as far away from this man as you can by any means necessary. I’ve observed in his courtroom and he belittles women constantly, regularly threatens women with contempt, yells. But he’ll sit and watch a man answer a damn phone call in the seats like it’s no problem. He shushes women, but lets men prattle on and on about how much they hate their exes and he’s sympathetic to them ALWAYS. In my personal case, completely ignored all evidence I brought forth and relied entirely on my bd’s word even though I gave evidence proving he was lying.

Unfortunately, all these comments alleging this man has a pro-dad bias that is so deep he cannot and will not consider evidence are true.

Red county, MAGA judge. This guy hates women and he lets everyone know it with his very pro-dad rulings. Ignores evidence when it's against dads regardless of how serious it is, takes a dad's word even when there's no evidence to back it up. Hope this guy is removed soon with all the damage he causes to kids and families by being a misogynist.

If you’re a mother in a custody case and get assigned to this judge, immediately file a peremptory challenge and get assigned to someone else.

I’ll agree with these comments about him being unfair to mothers. [Redacted by Ed.] , he has become so pro-dad that he refuses to acknowledge patterns of abuse perpetrated by men. He is a serious threat to the children of Riverside County as long as he’s presiding over family law because he believes men can do no wrong even when they show time and time again they mistreat their kids.

Nobody hates moms like John Vineyard. Time and time again I’ve watched him cater to narcissistic men and refuse to consider the facts. On several occasion, I’ve seen him shush a woman who was trying to notify him that her ex had been harassing her by showing up at her work and making fake police reports against her to try to gain an advantage in the custody case. He clearly prefers to take the man’s side no matter what and even better if the man has an attorney. This judge and his decisions can easily be bought with a high price attorney and good old narcissistic gaslighting tactics. It’s a shame Riverside County allows him to preside over a family court room and be in charge of decisions that impact innocent children when he is so biased and unwilling to consider facts.

This judge made me lose my home. We had an incompetent attorney and a and Judge Vineyard cited with a convicted felon that stole my house through Forgery Of our signatures on a grant deed and notary journals by a convicted felon and his cohorts; we never signed our house over to this con and the judge knew the con as a convicted felon found guilty by a grand jury or IRS and REAL ESTATE FRAUD and Forgery. The judge is a total fat narcissist and needs to be impeached. We are still fighting to get our house back through the FBI

This judge has a very obvious preference for representation. You can give him a thousand pages of facts justifying something, but if you don’t have an attorney speaking for you he will not care. He lets attorneys bulldoze unrepresented clients and turn hearings into a circus where pro se persons can’t even speak. Do not go in front of this man pro se, because he will favor the represented party EVERY TIME regardless of how bad of a ruling it is to do so.

Judge Vineyard seems to side with the narcissistic people. He allows them to get away with it irming all court orders and even being a no show to hearings. He will set in motion contempt of court with a hearing to show cause but then every time it's dismissed without a single question to anyone. You think that the person of irming all of judges orders for 2 years is finally going to have a penalty that will maybe set him straight, but it never happens. Instead the person leaves the courthouse floating and saying that the judge will never enforce his orders and they will ways get away with whatever he wants. Judge Vineyard makes me understand why Catherine Kassenoff did what she did, there is no relief with him for this who are being emotionally, psychologically and most importantly financially abused by the person they are trying to divorce. He makes one person tow the line very strictly while the other litigant gets away with it ignoring all orders and doing what they want. My ex even filed an ex parte to ask Judge Vineyard to reverse orders regarding an asset and judge added a clause to his first orders granting the requested change of his order wasn't carried out by a certain date....so basically don't do what you were originally ordered to do and Judge Vineyard will change the orders to what you want instead..... Why make orders if you don't care if the person ordered to do something just ignores the orders and your going to let them do whatever they want anyway? Why give someone control of an asset one hearing and then give it to the other person the next hearing? 2 years if orders including funds being distributed and when the person is up for contempt of court it's all of kred and all dismissed. Judge Vineyard is biased towards the abuser and cares nothing about the fact that his decisions to not hold people accountable just causes them to further abuse to someone simply because they know they will always get away with it with this judge.

My problem with this judge is that he concerns himself with form over substance. The rules of the court in Family Law are designed to make the process efficient a compel people to be ready since the court has limited time. However, he applies them with such rigor that even the smallest technical deviation ends up causing a delay that is 10x worse than the inefficiency sought to be avoided by the rule in the first place. Hands out sanctions like they are candy. Sat there ALL DAY to get an agreed-upon continuance. Cost the parties THOUSANDS in fees because he does not know how to manage a court calendar. Despite his knowledge and ability, I WILL be filing a 170.6 EVERY time on this judge. If opposing counsel and I come to an agreement regarding a hearing, his goal should be to accommodate it. Not look for petty violations of his notice rules and a reason to sanction us.

Biased, does not consider all the facts. Rules on his "gut" feeling, he makes ruling that hurt children and mothers. Doesnt like to be questioned on legitimacy of his ruling. It is very sad when this judge makes statement, "In the best interest of the child", yet with his careless ruling causes trauma and harm to the child.
