Didn’t even care to listen to my case about custody. Other parent wasn’t doing what they should be doing and going against court order regarding school work. He didn’t even care to see proof and dismissed the case in less than 5 minutes. Wouldn’t even consider a change in the drop off despite the person living at the house not wanting it to be the drop off location anymore. He just seemed like he couldn’t care less about my kids or anyone else’s. He just wanted his day to be over with.

I have witnessed this Judge consistently side with abusers to the risk and detriment of Domestic Violence and child abuse victims. He and his bailiff (short, balding Asian man) have some kind of love affair going on where they will make faces at each other, smirk, and roll their eyes in open court while a domestic violence victim's abuse is being detailed. His bailiff even appears to get off on intimidating victims by standing over them and trying to monitor the privileged communication (notes) between themselves and their attorneys. Judge Fattarsi is dangerously and willfully ignorant of the issues of domestic violence and child abuse and assumes himself to be more knowledgeable than subject matter experts. He threatens protective parents in open court, and their attorneys in his chambers, that should they pursue modification of custody, or if they do not agree to drop their existing motions to modify custody, in an effort to protect their children he will strip them of custody and order custody of their children to the abusive parent; denying parents, by coercion, of their right and responsibility to protect themselves and their children from further and escalating abuse. I have also witnessed Judge Fattarsi dismissing the statements of minor's counsels appointed by the court to be the voice of the children, who have spent more time, and direct contact, with the children than himself, the mediators, or CPS (where involved). He hangs on the every word of the FCS mediators, who exhibit hostility and clear bias against the protective parents, and will disparage victims with his clerk, bailiff, and other court staff, which appears to be the culture within the San Joaquin County courthouse. Judge Fattarsi's behavior does not appear to be gender specific, but a clear disdain for victims and protective parents as a whole; male or female.
