Can these judges get any worse?

Can these judges get any worse? Cannot control his courtroom at all - apparently he himself never actually tried a case or he would know a lot more about how to do it and how to get attorneys to behave. Trials takes WAY more days than they should and is ability to control is own schedule is so bad they takes months. One afternoon every now and then! How can a judge be so incompetent?

County counsel have always been mediocre.

County counsel have always been mediocre. He was county counsel. Limited, if any, trial experience makes him a mediocre judge.

Can't control his courtroom.

Can't control his courtroom. Has a new rule that family law people have to make "closing arguments" in writing. Seriously? that costs 1000s more dollars. They used to just argue orally and then the judge would rule. Can't he think fast enough to do that? Doesn't he know the law? Sad rule that makes everything take longer and cost more.

Trial only in the afternoon and only from 2 - 4:30 and of course there is a break. Why can't he work a full day?

Seems like a nice man but a sadly limited judge.

Seems like a nice man but a sadly limited judge. He cannot control his courtroom and lets lawyers go on and on, then blames them when they go over and case is not done. A two day trial went into more than 8 because he does not know how to shut a lawyer down who is wasting time on irrelevant stuff. He came from county counsel and they are mediocre lawyers at best - they never try anything. If something big and important came in, they hired outside counsel. No wonder he has no idea how to run a trial.

This judge was biased and rude questioning my “credibility” at a continuance hearing for a DVRO.

This judge was biased and rude questioning my “credibility” at a continuance hearing for a DVRO. He ordered me personally present at the next hearing where i will be forced to face my abuser who has put me through a decade of trauma as well as my son. This judge clearly did not know the history and as a survivor or DV Is intentionally planing my safety in jeopardy and inflicting unnecessary trauma adding to my already CPTSD ! I am appalled that this judge had questioned my credibility as I appeared remotely to ensure my safety and had the odasity to ask why I did not want to be personally present at the next hearing !?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME !?! I’m filing a RESTRAINING ORDER WITH case numbers and several incidents perpetrated by my ex who plays some feeble innocent harmless victim in court yet is in reality a monster who has terrorized myself and a detriment to our son. So once again I am forced to be subjected to abuse enabled by the very court system that is supposed to protect … why am i surprised … justice at its finest … newer judges need to research these cases and possibly do some background learning but this will never happen with the caseload it’s terribly sad and a gamble at justice … not to mention my safety … I feel a thorough DV training is appropriate…
