Joscelyn Jones

Judge Joscelyn Jones of Alameda superior court is severely biased and prejudice towards anyone in the courtroom who is either self-represented OR marginalized in any way, which seems ironic. She profiles litigants and will treat you less-than-human unless you are a white, male attorney. Again, very ironic. She is not unbiased, not impartial, and she is the worst person Gavin Newson could have appointed to the bench. Judge Jones has no regard for the record and if she does not like you, for whatever ridiculous reason, she will not read ANYTHING you file, EVER. Judge Jones has no regard for evidence or the facts while simultaneously adopting wild mischaracterizations, at face-value, from the party she likes, even without those issues being formally before the court nor supported by the record. She loves to give the floor asymmetrically to one party while denying the other the opportunity to be heard. If you are self represented or marginalized, she will categorize you before you speak, she will have no patience with you, no conscience, no remorse, and she will gaslight and penalize you through her orders by claiming you did or didn't do things just so that she can justify rulings that are contrary to the record, even if you have proof of the opposite. She enjoys yelling at the top of her lungs at litigants, so loudly that even ear plugs can not block the decibels. She also laughs between rage episodes in a really sinister manner, right before she reverts back to unbridled yelling. If that does not scream unhinged, i don't know what does. In an arena that should be fairly monotone and neutral, at least from the bench, she uses the courtroom as a platform to abuse, oppress, silence, penalize, and to abuse her authority; all of which are her highest source of entertainment. The judicial setting is not a playground, although she mistakenly believes it so. One would think a busy docket would not leave room or the time for such nonsense and unchecked power. She likes to think she is "doing something" by rushing through proceedings so fast that she does not allow you to be heard, as if there is no time to even state one word although that behavior escalates hostility in the courtroom and creates a lot of extra work and wasted time both for litigants and the court system.

This lady is sick… she should not be a judge. She is hurt from her divorce and has taken it out on people during her time in dept 105. She has also participated in contributing to the malice prosecution, kidnapping and now defamation. She tried to place a restraining order on me without me ever being served and if the plaintiff would have showed she would have given her the stay away. She helped a woman get into her court room by allowing a retired/ active judge to influence the decision based off lies. While the retired/ active judge was active right down the hall and was the landlord of the plaintiff. The retired/ active judge told plaintiff what language to use to get into criminal stay away order false claiming child abuse and attempted murder on a ch-100 then changed her story to harassment in court with no proof. THIS WILL FOREVER HAUNT YOUR CAREER. You are a DEMON!

Judge Jones should step down she is not only unhappy she is contaminated to the depth of her soul. She thinks she may have immunity on her job. But the wrath of GOD will one day fall on her for all her wrongdoing. In the bible according to Isaiah 57:20-21 which reads "But the wicked are like the tossing sea, which cannot rest, whose waves cast up mire and mud." There is no peace says my GOD for the wicked. This will be spoken daily for this wicked woman who still is trying to influence my defamation case. I am also reminded Isaiah 59:14-15 This scripture describes that in society that justice and truth are absent because leaders or people in power are CORRUPT, causing honest people to become prey. This judge has something against men especially black men and people from the LGBTQ. I believe this woman is bitter because her husband left her due to her masculine ways, she is full of spiritual poison. She is very unhappy and use her position of power to cause harm such as pushing the panic buttons. refused to listen and railroading innocent people who the judge family member or friend case was assigned to her court. She governed her court with life lessons and not the law., She creates a narrative based on a person natural response to what they are being accused of false allegations of wrongdoing. This judge runs her court on life lessons instant of the law and will violate civil and constitutional rights as if they do not exist. This judge told me she would make sure my appeal would be destroyed in front of the whole court. This is what happened my appeals documents were destroyed in addition to the court Administration Officer Chad Finke of Court facilitated data manipulation to make it appear that I have defaulted on my appeals. Judge Jones knew the plaintiff in my case and believe the narrative told in addition to the person created fabricated documents and submitted to the courts for evidence committing Forgery for personal gain. This Judge is dirty and need to be remove it is my prayer daily that GOD will sit her down because she got some REPENTING to do, I thank GOD every day that this day will COME in the name of Jesus Amen

Indefinitely should step down from being a Judge.

As a lawyer for 20 years, Judge Jones is easily the worst judge I've ever witnessed. She demeans litigants, says things like "use the brain god gave you" and regularly makes people cry because she is cruel and mean. She knows no law and regularly tramples on civil rights. The court staff can't stand her and she should be off the bench.

Smart, efficient, and in control of her courtroom...this judge is a breath of fresh air.

This judge [Redacted by Ed.] she place a stay away order against a person and when the person appeals the case This judge blocks by having a clerk to destroy your appeal documents and you find out by a default judgement time have expired where the person have loss their rights to do anything. If you disagree with this judge she will hit the panic buttons so the deputies can attack she was moved out of Civil Protection Order because she was to green governing the court like family court. She will tell you that she is going to make sure you will not be able to get this out of your name which sounds like premeditated action for the current and will influence her colleagues with corruption in the court by railroading people for a crime that there are no evidence. This is a simple abuse of power and misconduct. The Judicial Counsel should had investigated her but they co sign and did a cover up because in order for an appeal to move forward the Zoom court proceeding is needed. If my appeal had not been destroyed it would have shown Judge Jones Misconduct. This woman is the worst She also had clerks threaten me with deputies. The word I can say about this judge is a judge that abuse her power and EVIL.

Judge Jones it's time for a Recall because she is corrupted and lack the ethical conduct to govern a court where she is not bias and corrupt against the LGBTQIA,women of color and men the judge does not based the case on law but what she feel. She will not accuse herself on family and friends but more importantly Judge Jones will violate a person civil right in front of other and tried and scare when a person threaten to fill a complaint.JUDGE Jones is the gum you see stuck on the sidewalk a very unhappy evil woman. Someone hurt her in life so she bring that trauma and pain to work. She need a mental health check up because is not fix because her judge ment is off

Comments made thus far, are accurate. When enough voices speak from across the spectrum, carrying similar complaints; a definite problem exists. Only a single comment here is contrary to these complaints.The comment's unsophisticated tone and aggrandizing content strongly suggest Judge Joscelyn Jones as the author. This is more troubling than one may imagine. Here we have a judge who faces near universal condemnation from all who bare witness to her judicial (mis)conduct, attorneys, litigants, court employees etc etc. Rather than perhaps, considering how her actions have garnered such a lowly opinion, she makes a decision to bolster the basement level perception of her with a single comment of effusive disingenuous praise. I was of the opinion that her conduct was so overwhelmingly awful for all the reasons stated, that she must be "dirty". As surely, an able bodied professional of sound mind could not conceivably perform so poorly; acting contrary to every rule of law,procedure and decorum she has sworn to uphold. While I still am not entirely convinced of the lack of monetary motivation for her (mis)conduct, I am increasingly of the opinion that something/s is amiss on the top floor of Chateu Jones. There is no other explanation for such erratic egregious bias and incompetence. When "on the take" and "mental illness" become the defining characteristics and/or possible explanation/s of your judicial performance; removal from the bench is warranted. Ms.Jones will then be able to focus on her mental health and/or indictment/s. As to why Gov. Newsom appointed Judge Jones, it is an enduring mystery. Just as all who enter her court cannot escape the putrid fecal stench of her decisions and conduct, neither will he. Her appointment shall be adorned upon him like a scarlet letter.

This bias seems to manifest in her inconsistent application of restraining orders, often issuing them arbitrarily in minor or one-time incidents while neglecting to do so when genuinely warranted, such as in civil matters. The role of a judge is to administer justice impartially, without fear or favor. When a judge like Joseline Jones abuses their power and compromises the integrity of the legal system, it erodes public trust and perpetuates injustice. Judge Jones clear thinks that this is no such thing as Civil Rights. I was seen second time in department 105. I had the sheriff to serve termination of Stay Away because the plaintiff lied. In court proceeding there was no evidence of attempt murder and harassment the plaintiff had no evidence no police reports . On 1/4/2024 went to court to say plaintiff is evading service by sheriff.the address she use and court certify now she no longer live at address. This is what I want to explain to judge she does not want to listen but run her mouth because she thinks she is so important. If she had listen she would of learned plaintiff is evading documents and order another way of delivery of documents. Judge is bully but she thinks her job is to create a toxic court and scare the people. I am not scared and will fight to get this false allegations off my record. Received notice in mail with new court date I file a second complaint against this evil judge because she violates citizens rights. Judge Jones clearly know the plaintiff and family members because she believes every lie plaintiff stated. If a person is accused of a crime the have a right to defend themselves under the constitution. Judge Jones has dark energy and want to show dominance when people enter the court know who the judge. She cater to African American men and non brown women. Judge Jones needs to be remove off bench because she wants to be a story teller instead of governing the law. My case is no different then being accused of a crime it was not proven of attempt murder and harassment and I am not suppr to take a stand and fight the plaintiff if the court believe this nonsense why not go to trial because the plaintiff lie. She states I attempt murder and harassment because my son has to pay child support. Why would I be mad when my son is an adult and my income does not affect mines . The plaintiff made a mockery of the court she tried to file complaint in another county but the court did not believ

There was a case in this judge court where there was physical contact no order but placing TRO and stay away for family members and friends

[Redacted by Ed.] it is nothing for Judge Jones to violate your civil right like she did me.She place a Stay Away against me when there was not evidence of harassment or harm. The person lied and judge sided with a plaintiff who have three Stay Away against her. Judge Jones should be remove because she violated rights of people who she cannot shut up.Judge Jones give life lesson instead of governing the law. The workers in her court are scared of her. I will challenge the decision because its wrong to to side with people who the Judge Jones know personal judge should remove herself with her friends or family members come into her court.Judge Jones is miserable and come to court to bully people in court. It is my prayer she will be remove and an investigation is open to review the case I am sure they will found violation of people right .

This judge was very rude and unprofessional and made several people in the courtroom either nervous or crying. She acts like she is on TV.

This judge expects you to BRING YOUR 'A' GAME! Be prepared, be awake, mind your manners, don't interrupt and don't show up stoned. However, even those stoned and missing evidence without ability to articulate their plea she showed compassion for and rescheduled for them to try again. The Honorable Joscelyn Jones saw through the false allegations against me and new the claimant was not providing truthful stories. Everyone commenting, claiming she isn't fair, OBVIOUSLY lost their case because they didn't prove their case. She's not a bad judge because she needs more evidence.

The Honorable J Hones heard my small claims case in which I was a defendant. She didn't manage her time well. She had many cases to hear on the day that my case was to be heard, only she spent a great deal of time on one or two cases, and everybody else, after waiting their turn for 4 hours, had to come back on another occasion so that their cases could be heard as well. The next time we went to court she again took forever with a couple of cases, then rushed us through our case, which she heard last. The time management issue would be perhaps less relevant, except shethen yelled "Hurry up" to me after demanding that I produce certain information--I didn't even understand exactly what information she wanted to see, but she was so abusive, I was afraid to ask her for clarification. She received evidence from the Plaintiff that we were never able to explain. She called us "foolish" after she decided, again without our ability to contest, that certain information provided by Plaintiff was actually sufficient "evidence" for her to decide against us. I feel that this Judge was very unprofessional, rude, demeaning, and abusive. She should be reviewed for Judicial Misconduct. This is not a case of my having sour grapes because she decided against me. Her behavior was truly reprehensible.

This judge either hates herself or hates all other people or both. She does not allow you to ask people to ask questions without interrupting them, chiding them, or patronizing them. She doesn't seem to believe that people in attendance in her courtroom might need to solicit advice from her or ask clarifying questions. She's imperious and self-important. She's a gasbag. What was Newsom thinking when he appointed her?

A lunatic on the bench. Erratic rulings and poor temperament. Someone from the JQC should go observe her, she would be removed immediately.

She has a holier than thou complex treats the courtroom workers, the public like $%!^. She asks questions that she has the answer and then tells you to shut up don't talk while she's talking instead of allowing you to answer the question SHE JUST ASKED.MAKES UP HER OWN LAWS and treats the civil court cases like their criminal court cases. Good judge to know, won't give your opposition an opportunity to speak. She should be removed from the bench she is the worst judge Ive ever had in my life. She granted a TRO against the person who violated me because she knew them and not me...

Rules with emotions when on the bench and doesn't follow the law. She is not impartial. It's time to make a peremptory challenge if you represent a business or other entity. She is a fighter for the "small guy." Totally not impartial, objective, nor reasonable. Word has it that she's sent to baby sit juvenile matters these days. Terrible judge. Avoid at all cost.
