Joseph G. McGraw

Everyone acknowledges that Judge McGraw is an exceptionally intelligent and knowledgeable judge. He can be curt in court but generally keeps an open mind, but he is very partial to accepting the representations of counsel over defendants. And, for a judge who teaches a yearly course for other counsel regarding judicial bias, with respect to at least one high profile criminal case, Judge McGraw has proven to assume the same community bias as the rest of the local legal community regarding the guilt of the defendant on face value alone without examination of the case evidence (or very apparent lack of it!)
