Judge Charney rarely reads the papers submitted. Her knowledge of the law is suspect as she often gets simple concepts wrong. She has refused to consider Supreme Court decisions that effect the issues in the case.....she seems to think she knows more on the law than the Supreme Court and has no obligation to follow their ruling(s).

Where to start with this embarrassment to the judicial process? I was a pro-se father with a straightforward case. In summary, she ignored a $9,000 custody evaluation advising both parents attend counseling while custody increases, and instead impersonated a therapist and diagnosed me with defiance disorder while ordering me to therapy. All this while sexually harassing me talking about I'm charming. She is beyond unfair, previous comments regarding self-represented litigants are completely accurate she doesn't recognize them, she is vehemently unprofessional, outdated and she is a vicious menace to NJ family law. I have filed complaints with the ACJC against her and I plan to escalate that initiative as far as possible because I have to try and stop this evil. Please make sure you have a lawyer (female counsel if you're a father) when dealing with this garbage can.

Motion for pre-suit discobery directed to trucking co for preservation of trucl which had been totalled with title and possession then given to insurance company. She thereafter ordered the trucking co which submitted certification of non ownership and nonpossession to produce it anyway. Didnt seem to grasp insurance company not insured possessed it and insurance company was not before the court.

I had this miserable judge for my child support case. I had requested full custody and a restraining order against my child father. She threw the whole entire case out an treated me nonhuman because I have 3 children and no income at the moment. All she did the whole case was roll her eyes as if shes any better than the next. She shouldn’t even be a judge. Who throws out a whole child support case !!

From the brief encounter I had with Judge Charney, she was even tempered, polite, well versed in family law and procedure, and professional. I have nothing negative to say about her.
