If you have a 170.6 left you should use it on Judge Moskowitz. Her judicial temperament is not good. She advocates from the bench and injects her bias into the matter. She is extremely weak on evidence, yet claims to be an expert on that matter. Having read the other comments, clearly she had a pattern of horrible behavior, yet gets a pass.

This judge was appointed by her relative, Gov.Newsome. She doesn't belong on the bench. Knows NOTHING about family law. [Redacted by Ed.] She is biased against heterosexual women. She never rules in favor of a pro per vs attorney. She is not just ignorant of laws, she enjoys destroying lives. And the clerks and reporters know full well and say nothing. She will not be removed because of her connections. Shame on you Karen; who hurt you in your life that you feel it necessary to retaliate against innocent people, especially women? Karen Moskowitz, the worst judicial officer I had ever had to work for. So great full that I no longer work in her court room. Every day was insanely stressful for all of, as court staff, because she far too frequently ( As in every single court day, 5 days per week, every week) completely disregarded (And still disregards) the law, plays favorites, takes sides, and renders capricious rulings, thus igniting the understandably irate reactions of attorneys, other professionals, their clients, and pro per litigants. I urge anyone reading this to: 1). Simply submit the easy, quick 1-page Judge Disqualification to have her immediately removed from your case. It's called a form 170.6. However you must do this immediately upon her assignment to your case, or you will lose the time constraints. 2). Internet search judge karen Moskowitz ripoff report dot com. That site has the very real, detailed complaints about her atrocious acts against minors, her illegal judgements against litigants, and other relevant information and low-down on her. And, it allows you to very publicly out her with your own experiences with her (And you can do it all quickly and anonymously).

Karen Moskowitz does NOT deserve the title of judge. I'm an attorney & even I cannot respect this sociopath in any way. Yesterday my client had 2 hearings before her. When my client submitted her 170.6 Challenge in a timely manner, Moskowitz denied & dismissed it instantly. Moskowitz then went on to deny my client's restraining order against a man who had been stalking & harassing her for months despite her video &photographic evidence & verified documentation & the fact that she had more thanmet her burden of proof. When the man's turn came to lodge UNSUBSTANTIATED accusations at my client, Moskowitz gave him free reign. In conclusion, she ruled against my client to the point of literally insulting her & even threatening her & leaving her in shreds. Karen Moskowitz is among the most unprofessional, undignified, ill-qualified judicial officers I & thousands of others have ever experienced. MOskowitz blatantly sides with perpetrators, molesters, abusers. She is a female however she rules against female victims & favors male assaulters. I urge any litigant, party, attorney to submit a 170.6 Challenge the instant you discover she's assigned to your case. If not, definitely appeal her ruling, file a complaint against her. Judge is one of the worst in the country. She does not care if you have evidence. She doesn’t care about women’s rights. If you are a woman and you get this judge please cancel and ask for a different judge. She’s obviously annoyed with her job she doesn’t care about helping anyone. She deserves nothing but the worst in life for ruining everyone’s lives

Judge does not follow the law. Doubles down when she knows she is wrong.

Does allow for equitable time, not open to hearing new evidence, only concerned with speedy things up without regard for the people who appear before her. As others have said below 170.6

She is biased, makes her mind up before the hearings. She refuses evidence such as videos to be played. Refused to hear claims of perjury. It has gotten so bad that the local police were suddenly dealing with an influx of perjury claims reports from her courtroom that their superiors had to tell the DA office to stop telling people they must file a police report first since they can go straight to the DA office but they were trying to pass the buck. It’s crazy, I had proof I wasn’t even in town during the claims of harassment and it didn’t matter. She is truly evil. She also is an extreme leftists and looks up info on litigants beforehand so lock down your socials or even better becoming a flamboyant leftist. She is also swayed by money like who could afford to hire a big law firm and have multiple lawyers working a case. There is only one guarantee with her, you won’t get a fair hearing.

Worst judge ever. Ignores the law.

Terrible judge. She wont listen to any evidence despite documents of texts, emails witnessess, police reports and testimony. She is too incompetent and aware of anything. She has caused pain and heartache to several families. She looked at me and my attorney and had the nerve to say its not enough burden of proof. [redacted by ed.]

She is an awful judge and drove a client to suicide because she allowed hearsay evidence in, allowed my client to be rail raided. Refused to give time for a supeona to come back to prove the other party committed perjury. Utterly destroyed an innocent woman’s life, she miscarried due to the stress in the middle of the hearing. [redacted] judge who literally and I quote from the records “I make the rules in my courtroom. Hearsay is allowed in my courtroom” of course that hearsay was only allowed for the opposing side. She blocked all evidence, gave us unequal time, would make jokes with the other side. Found out later she was connected to the other side and she should have recused herself but didn’t. To me she is a murderer.

This idiot cast off from Chatsworth court house should have been vetted a little better before Newsom unleashed her on the populace. She facilitates elder financial abuse even though we had the proper statues and a representative from Adult Protective services. Do u know what her response was? File bankruptcy. You will get no justice from this waste of human flesh unless you have a lawyer. If u can't afford one, don't even bother if she's the judge. Just cancel and try again.

Should not be a judge. If u don't have a law degree, she won't listen to you. She will even throw you out if you try to speak. Very rude and seems jaded. Nothing one would want on the bench.

Incompetent. Clearly this judge does not know what her job is, because if she did, she would not be a judge. Even given the maximum amount of discretion, there is no evidence to even vaguely support her decisions. Can you really award punitive damages for "alleged conduct" and completely ignore the glowing, pink elephant standing in the room holding neon letters shouting: "WHAT ABOUT ALL THE EVIDENCE PROVING FRAUD & FIDICIARY ABUSE?" "DO YOU THINK THAT A RESERVE STUDY REPORT SHOWING CURRENTLY A BANK ACCOUNT -2% FUNDED AND IN 5 YEARS THAT SAME RESERVE BANK ACCOUNT WILL BE -195% FUNDED, THAT'S NEGATIVELY UNDERFUNDED!) deserves consideration. Instead she expresses contempt that the person who controls this bank account had to "incur expenses for court appearances," the exorbitant expenses she had already paid herself. This person was neither the defendant in my SC-100, nor the plaintiff in the counter complaint, and did not have authorization to represent the real parties to the claim. What is clear to me is that she is someone that is NOT compelled to do the right thing.

Without a doubt one of the most unqualified judicial officers I have ever encountered. She is biased and makes up her own laws. A prime example is she has tried to deny interest at the legal rate of 10 per cent per annum as excessive when the California Statutes specifically provides "legal" interest is 10 per cent.

A fairly new judge and an absolute moron. Had a case with her and she could not remember how she ruled. 170.6 and don't waste a minute. Another horrible Chatsworth Courthouse Judge!! File your cases elsewhere.
