Katherine E. McShane

It did not take long for Judge McShane to make a name for herself. And not in a good way. Especially since no one ever heard of her until she paid a half a million dollars to splash her face all over local TV ads to, essentially, buy herself a seat on the bench. Already the subject of court gossip for trying to strong-arm four figure campaign donations in exchange for favorable rulings - which she blames on her lawyer husband, the couple are front page news again after a courthouse staffer leaked an email to the press from court administration detailing how Mr. McShane - with his judge wife - tried to evade courthouse security with a "Don't you know who I am?" theory of how he is above security checks at the courthouse. No one is above the metal detectors or the safety of the public at the courthouse. More importantly, no one is allowed to bring a gun into the courthouse, with certain exceptions, and Mr. McShane is boastful about he is always "packing" and has wasted tens of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money defending trying to overturn gun laws designed to protect the public. If anyone should be searched going into a courthouse or other high-risk public space, it is HIM. These losers need to go back into the hole they crawled out from under and I, for one, hope the President Judge in Dauphin County and/or the D.A., puts an end to their embarrassing escapades.

This judge is such an incompetent greedy pig as a lawyer that she fraudulently reports fines on your credit report for money you don't owe - YEARS after you hired her - so she can pay for the judicial seat she bought. Lawyers hate her. Including mine, and she'll be paying his legal fees when I'm done. Another wants to sue her for malpractice because she did such a lousy job. And

No one that knows Katherine McShane or her husband, or os familiar with their business or legal practices, is surprised by the front page story in Penn Live [Redacted by Ed.] The wording on the invite to their shindig is unambiguous and, as one lawyer quoted in the article stated, "Outrageous". For Justin McShane to try to gaslight the public is as disingenuous as Katy McShane's attempt to distance herself from the obvious ethical lapse through her "campaign advisor". Her seat was bought but, apparently, not yet paid for, creating disrepute for the PA Judiciary before ever hearing a case. That's why she gets 5 stars for industriousness. But the three stars for evenhandedness indicate...who knows? Any decisions or verdicts coming out of her Dauphin County Courtroom are seriously in doubt and must be looked at with an eye toward who contributed to her campaign and who refused to pay to play. Shameless! And sad. It will be interesting to see whether the JCB addresses McShane's lack of ethics and exercise or poor judgement - or is more interested in harassing honest, ethical judges who happen to make a mean cheesesteak.
