Brings personal bias into the courtroom.

1.0
/ 5

Brings personal bias into the courtroom. Decides sentence prior to hearing evidence. Makes assumptions without investigation. If she does not like or agree with the defendant, she will restrict testimony, speak rudely (even in front of the jury) about or to the defendant. Huge ego. Abuses her power.

She is truly a disgrace to the judicial system and she should be removed immediately.

She is truly a disgrace to the judicial system and she should be removed immediately. She controls the narrative, showing how extremely biased she is, by restricting what can or can't be used in a case even if it violates human rights. She shows extreme prejudice and displays it like a badge of honor. She enjoys the abusive power she has and ensures her personal opinion is the one that to be followed. Truly a disgusting vindictive human being that should not be residing on any judicial podium. Remove her immediately.

Kathy Hessinger is a tyrant with little to no understanding of the Criminal Justice process.

Kathy Hessinger is a tyrant with little to no understanding of the Criminal Justice process. She explains motions in limine to defendants as if they are only intended for the defense lawyer to "keep out" bad evidence against the (most likely guilty) defendant. Sure, this is part of it, but has she ever even considered that a defendant could file to include evidence that hurts the state and helps them? It's like it's not even a consideration. She forms opinions before a hearing, she has obvious ex parte communication with the state, this is evidenced by her bringing up "evidence" during arraignment/hearings where she has obviously seen it, not in the presence of the defense. She talks down to people, makes factual findings, bends her orders to accuse defendants of violating orders, moves the goalposts, overall is a terrible person and one of the most unqualified, uneducated, poorly trained judges I have ever witnessed on the bench. This can be a problem when civil litigators are elected to the criminal bench, they don't have an appreciation for the criminal justice process, due process, rights of defendants, constitutional law, and the list goes on and on. She should be ashamed of herself, she should be removed from the bench/
